Topic: Xbox Elite Controller Series Thread

@dmcc0 A little thing that saved me from buying more Nintendo and PS controllers! Normally, I use it wired, but I liked that both types of connection are available. I stopped hoarding controllers after the Wii experience. 🤣

@Banjo- Yeah, I think that's me sorted for controllers now - or at least will be once the 8bitdo M30 for the recently-(re)acquired Mega Drive arrives 😅

I wish I'd know about the Brook adaptors before I spent a ridiculous amount of time looking for a replacement PS3 Controller. Luckily I came across them before I actually spent any cash on a new one. I also bought the Dreamcast/Saturn version too, although I still bought a Retro Fighters wireless Dreamcast pad around the same time 🤣

It still feels a bit weird playing a PlayStation with an Xbox controller though.

Anyone else misses the bigger size of the Xbox One and Xbox Elite Controller Series 1? Is there a third-party controller like that? The Series X|S controller is a bit too small for my hands. Even the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 is, although I'd say that the Series X|S is smaller. I'm also wondering when will the next official controller be announced.

I've been trying different controllers since the Elite Series 2 broke and haven't found any third-party controller as ergonomic as my favourite one, Xbox Elite Series Controller Series 1. Anyone else looking forward to the announcement of the Elite Series 3 that was leaked in May? I really would like to know the dimensions and try it myself!

@Banjo- After my Elite Series 2 broke I bought the Scuf Valor Pro on the back of the PX review last year and it has been fantastic. Ergonomically it is the best controller I have ever held and when you get used to them, the back buttons are more comfortable to use than the Elite although you may press then accidentally more at first. If you can stomach the extra cost its 100% worth it. The only weird quirk is you need to download the companion app via the MS Store on a PC to link it to your account before you can download it on Xbox for some reason.

@GeeEssEff Xbox consoles are amazingly well-engineered and reliable since Xbox One, but I can't say the same thing about the controllers, in my experience. I've been checking a lot of reviews, I think one included the Scuf Valor Pro, but I'll watch it again. I have tried a few third-party controllers already from Gamesir and 8BitDo. The only reason why I'm more interested in the official ones such as the leaked Elite Series 3 is the ergonomics, with the added bonus of Xbox Wireless. The Xbox One and Elite Series 1 absolutely have the perfect shape and size for my hands. The Series 2 and Series X|S are a little smaller, unfortunately.
