As the title suggest when I hook up my controller to the pc or laptop it drops blue tooth multiple times and the game I am playing grinds to a halt for a few seconds. I have sent it in twice now and same problem anyone know a fix? Microsoft acknowledge this months ago and seems to be ignoring this. my cyberpunk controller works with the pc and laptop no problem so it's not a problem with them. The elite works as long as it is plugged into the laptop with a cord. Any help would be great.
I had a dying bluetooth dongle that worked with some controllers but not all. It stopped working completely a week later, and a friend had complained about flaky BT connection playing Skyrim VR on it earlier that month. I would definitely try that controller with another PC, because the new dongle I got works with all my Xbox and VR controllers. If it doesn't work with multiple computers I'd blame the controller. And I've only repaired OG Xbox and GameCube controllers with dead cables and analog sticks, and those fixes required soldering.
Edit: Just re-read your comment. If you tried with a desktop and laptop, did you use a dongle on the desktop and built-in laptop bluetooth? Because if so that's separate bluetooth connections, and therefore I'd blame the controller.
Ya in total I have tried 3 pcs 2 laptops and one desktop the desktop had a bluetooth dongle I plugged in to usb port.
It works when the cord is from controller to pc and it works fine with the actual xbox the only reason I bought it was so I could play laptop with wireless.
It's funny the much cheaper cyberpunk edition controller works no problems so meh.
