We have an XBOX series X. My grandson and I love to play Goat Simulator 3, two player, split screen, using two controllers.
Then out of the blue recently, controller 2 suddenly started to behave the same as controller 1, both had the same effect in menus and Goat Sim and everything. I've tried to reset controller 2 but it refuses. Tried pressing the little button on it, as well as the little button on the Xbox itself, and though both the controller and the Xbox flash their lights i just don't seem to be able to get controller 2 to establish its connection.
Are you using different profiles for the controllers? If not, try to create a dummy account for your grandson and see if, when you connect the 2nd controller, the console asks you to choose an account.
