Has anyone got 1GB DL speeds. In what time can it download a 90GB game, like Fortnite on Xbox series S. Or any other game if the same size. I'm getting 200mbs download speeds. I'm not using a wired connection from the modem.
@Ninfan don't know if you still need info on this. While I can't specifically say how long it would take to download a 90GB game on a 1Gbps connection, I can anecdotally tell you that I have my PC wired to my router and when downloading games on Steam, it usually tops out at around 925mbps. I recently downloaded a 40GB game and it took 5 minutes, give or take a few seconds.
Of course, there are multiple things to consider, all of which have an impact on the speed. Wired or wireless connection is obviously a factor, but I also get faster download speeds when downloading through Steam than I do when downloading through the Xbox PC app on the same machine. Then there's what speeds the Xbox Series S network connection can handle.
So while I can't speak for you, I would assume that if I were downloading a 90GB file at near enough 1Gbps, it would take somewhere around 10-11 minutes.
