Topic: Game Pass Ultimate Question

So I have been a subscriber to Game Pass since the beginning, I pay a fee for Game Pass and another for Gold. My question is how do I get Game Pass Ultimate. I want to get it so I can use xCloud mainly. Do I have to cancel my current memberships and sign up for it or does it roll over? I am kinda confused and apologize if this is a dumb question but my main thing is I don't want to lose anything.

Just go to your Microsoft account and there should be something asking you to upgrade to ultimate. You can also do a chat with an Xbox support person to get it sorted out. I had to deal with them once and it didn't take to long to talk with someone and they resolved the issue within a few minutes for me

I only ask because they have that £1/$1 deal to upgrade your subs to ultimate. Not sure if they are still doing it but I thought I'd mention it.

As I understand it, the deal will add your remaining Gold months and your remaining game pass months together and convert them to ultimate while adding an extra 3 months on top. Might be a cheaper way of doing it for you but just check around online to make sure it's still the case, I did it a while back so it might've changed

When I did it I had one month of gold and one month of game pass, I bought an additional 24 months of gold and upgraded the lot for a pound and ended up with 2 years and 5 months of UGP

@ralphdibny I actually did upgrade and it went smooth. I did it through my Xbox One there was an add to upgrade from a dollar and I clicked on it and followed the steps. I still had 3 days left of my Gold and Gamepass separate so I still have that but it say that those will cancel tomorrow and my next payment for Game Pass Ultimate will be due October 17th.

I did for ***** and giggles log on to my Gamepass on my phone to see how well it worked and had no problems (more on that on the actually xCloud thread).

So yeah it went pretty smooth.

@Tasuki good stuff 👍 glad it worked out ok, glad xcloud worked for you. When I tried it, it was like downloading pictures on a 56k connection... Ok well it was better than that considering what is actually being downloaded and also uploaded in terms of controller input but it was unplayable. Going to try it again now that it's got an official release!

Anyone know if I’m able to share Game Pass Ultimate between the One X and Series X? I’ll be giving my son my One X when I get the Series X. Also would like to know if there’s a specific order in doing the process where I am able to continue playing games if the internet ever goes down because at the moment I’d be unable to play any games at all, despite me buying the games from the MS Store on my console but my son could play them without being connected online.
