Nvidia is a huge problem. They are turning there backs on gamers again and chasing AI profits just like they did during crypto mining craze. Sad part is gamers got them to where they are. ATI/AMD are good alternatives. When AI bubble burst like crypto they will come crawling back with there tails between their legs. Gamers should tell the to go themselves.

@Jireland92

I am not sure MS can anymore . It is hard hard to turn a ship this size around. They keep buying more and more without fixing the core problems making it harder and harder. Firing people and making less quality games.

When Bungie gave away their top game Halo just to get away from MS it should have been a signal. Look what MS did to Halo. I worry about MS destroying Bethesda now. I mean look at the last two games.

Nintendo nor Sony got this low. Nintendo always had quality games.

I hope MS does turn it around, competition is great in gaming. It keeps moving technology ahead and better and better games.

It is not about the console to me its about quality games. I am not a fanboy of systems, I am a fanboy of gaming.

@OldGamer999

I agree 100 percent.
That is a good point. It is hard to invest in digital content if you do not know if there is a next gen system.

I have been saying for years I think MS is trying to get out of the console business. I think they want to return to software.

I think MS was also looking at game pass as a investment in the future but got lost.

Get that cloud stuff out of here. This is another area MS got lost. Should have followed Googles exit out of Cloud based games. Internet is not there in the USA and wont be for a long time.

Re: Reaction: Microsoft's Constant Tweaking Of Xbox Game Pass Is Becoming Exhausting

I cancelled game pass a while back. Higher pricing again and no first day games. I have not touched my Xbox in a year. I have owned a Xbox since the original. I was a beta tester for Xbox Live. 360 was one of my favorite consoles of all time. Honestly I am thinking of dumping my Xbox. MS is lost in my opinion. They seem to be destroying good studios. Raising prices even as sales drop which will eventually snowball. I am personally tired of paying more for less with everything because of company greed. Phil Spencer may be a great guy but honestly MS if they want to remain in the console business needs to do something different.

I think Sony is starting to get lost and is pricing themselves out of the gaming market and is getting some what lost too. I see a resurgence of people going to the pc if something is not done.. I think gaming hit its peak and there is little growth and may be on a downturn.

These companies are squeezing the gamer too much. There is a point where people say enough is enough.

Re: UK Authority Proposes Excluding Call Of Duty From Xbox Activision Blizzard Deal

@Blessed_Koz

You know I will say this I think the Activblizzard deal is becoming way to big of a distraction. MS should just drop it and all this money they are spending to fight it pump the money into Activision and just sign agreements for exclusives. Both companies win. Activision get a infusion of money and MS gets some exclusives. they are spending way to much time and money on it.

Re: UK Authority Proposes Excluding Call Of Duty From Xbox Activision Blizzard Deal

shred5

@Blessed_Koz Too hands off is still mismanagement. No matter the problems there is something wrong. I think Starfield will sell well no matter what because people with Xbox have had a drought for about a year and will buy it. I hope they do well because I am a gamer and I have barely played my Xbox since picking it up other than It Takes Two because it was on gamepass. I am just starting to feel like I wasted my money on gamepass too.

Re: Microsoft CEO Suggests ActiBlizz Deal Would Help Xbox 'Compete' In Japan

shred5

No it wont. Buying Square Enix may help them in Japan but not ActiBlizzard. Buying SE probably would have actually been a wiser choice especially trying to compete with Sony. I really think something is wrong over there in MS Xbox division and maybe it has more to do with Microsoft and that guy right there. I just wonder if MS cut the Xbox division loose and let them do their own thing if it would do so much better.

Re: UK Authority Proposes Excluding Call Of Duty From Xbox Activision Blizzard Deal

While I do not like all these purchases by MS or Sony, I prefer these studios remain independent. Especially since MS seems to have away of destroying them and mismanaging them. The whole Halo thing for example.

I just cant believe all this over COD which to me is just a generic game.

That said MS needs something. I have rarely played my Xbox this year at all because it completely lacks games. They really need this to stay competitive.

That said I really think this is all about gamepass and still feel MS wants out of the console business to just focus and gamepass and software. I think it is their long term goal.

Re: Here's A Look At The Updated Xbox Game Studios Roadmap For 2023 & Beyond

shred5

I know the hype around Starfield but am I the only one that thinks it does not look that fun.
The only game in there I am interested in in 2023 is Hellblade II and I doubt it come out in 2023. After that Fable and Elder Scrolls possibly Gears and Indiana Jones. After the first two Gears which I loved I lost interest because it was so much same o same o. Perfect dark maybe.

Re: 343 Industries Unveils Official Statement On The Future Of Halo

shred5

MS buys all these studios and drives them into the ground. I am worried they are going to trash Activision if they get them. That said Halo has not been the same since Bungie. That was key right there, Bungie was willing to give up their IP just to get away from MS. I think MS just wants these ips and does not care about the companies they buy. We have two Xboxes and have never been so disappointed in a generation ever. The Origional Xbox and the 360 were so much fun. I do not think Starfield looks very good but we shall see. I have barely played my Xbox this generation compared to my other 3 systems and soon to add the Steam Deck. MS did a great job with Gamepass but where are the newer exclusives come on MS, I feel I am wasting my money.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Think Microsoft Will Be Able To Acquire Activision Blizzard?

shred5

@NEStalgia

While I agreed and disagree. It will get ugly but then MS may just say screw it. I am not for all this buying up companies Sony and MS have been doing this last few years and it just hurts consumer in most cases. I do not think Activision would be worth nothing they have to many top ip's for that to ever happen. That said I do not think it is a monopoly and MS actually needs some games, it has been a dry year like I have never seen before in all my years of owning a Xbox. I barely turned it on and used mainly my Switch and PS5.

Re: Hogwarts Legacy To Include 'PlayStation Exclusive Quest'

shred5

@NEStalgia

It is not about selling console it is about selling games, that is where the money is. They mostly loose money on hardware.
The question is will it sway enough people to purchase the game on the Sony system vs other systems to make it worth while. I know I will buy a game for the system that has the most features unless I want to play mobile then I go to switch.

Re: Hogwarts Legacy To Include 'PlayStation Exclusive Quest'

shred5

@UltimateOtaku91

While the extra quest may not not sell consoles it does sell games which Sony does get a cut from. So the question really is will Sony make enough from the extra games sold to pay for the extra content.

I have a PS5, Switch and Xbox and will probably buy the PS5 version. My girlfriends will probably buy the switch because she like to play portable.

Re: Could 'Keystone' Be The Next Xbox Console? Codename Found In Datamine

@Rural-Bandit

I hear you. Another reason I like physical is I buy used and trade allot in when done. I am not one who has to have a game when it launches so I buy a lot of used games. I got horizons Zero Dawn for like 15.00 and about the same for Red Dead Redemption II both games I never played before. I do have a Xbox S though and just for game pass and to play with another friend. I have a pretty large backlog of games to play. Physical disk will eventually go away than there is only one place to buy games for on each console. .

Re: Could 'Keystone' Be The Next Xbox Console? Codename Found In Datamine

shred5

@Rural-Bandit

It is not just about speed. More and more isp's are adding data limits so physical can be better for them people. I had ATT and they have data limits. I had to keep Direct tv because I got unlimited data with their tv package and internet. . Without it I am way over the data limits which would be really expensive. I recently switch to fiber and it has no limits for now but that can change.

Re: Elden Ring Creator 'Apologises' To Players Who Find It Too Hard

shred5

@Tasuki

While I think most games have got to easy I do agree there could be a difficulty setting for those who would like one. Also the other side is these are hard games and if someone does not like that do not buy it. If the game fails to do well then maybe they put a difficulty slider in. Not ever game has to be easy.

Re: Elden Ring Dominates UK Charts, But Physical Sales Poor On Xbox

shred5

I think 3 reasons.

1.) The PS5 has been touted as the better system for this particular game and those with multiple systems probably bought the PS5 version.

2.) I think also allot of Xbox owners are actually series S owners so more of those people probably bought digital.

3.) Also like someone said earlier the Series S is a companion to the PS5 for those who want Gamepass or MS exclusives without spending allot , that is also me. Those people will buy it on the PS5.

I think more people have multisystem now than ever. I just think fanboys just make more noise than ever.

Re: Microsoft Wants To Bring Call Of Duty To Nintendo Switch

shred5

We already know MS talked to Nintendo about Gamepass through a court filling. Also Phil said Sony and Nintendo did not want game pass which means MS wants it there and they talked with them. No secret.

MS wants out of the hardware business and wants Gamepass on everything like consoles, TV's, phones, tablets PC etc.

Hardware business is a money loss especially with the chip shortages. Money is made on software.

I am guessing MS want to be the distributor for Sony and Nintendo to through game pass. Makes sense for Sony since they want their titles on PC and this is a easy way for them. Nintendo is a funny bird and does their own thing. Would they want there games on the PC and cloud and not have to invest themselves? Nintendo is so far behind with online already.

Re: Sony Boss Tells PlayStation Owners To 'Expect More Acquisitions'

shred5

All this buying just pushes people to the PC eventually. If you want to play them all it is the only multiplatform system. Both Sony and MS bring their a+ titles to the pc now. You also have steam and game pass there. Once the chip shortage ends and pc come down, buying two consoles wont be that much cheaper. I basically think this stuff just mainly hurts console gaming. With that said I basically think MS is trying to leave a path out of consoles anyway. MS buying is to force Sony and possible Nintendo to game pass. We know MS talked to them about it because Phil said they are not interested which means they talked, which means MS wants it. We know for sure they Talked to Nintendo due to a court filing. MS wants game pass on all systems, consoles, tv's, phones, PC's etc. Console market is a loss of money and software is where the money is.
