We could potentially repurpose disc drives from the original Xbox and Xbox 360 to create a proprietary drive specifically for playing legacy titles. This approach would circumvent the need for investment in advanced Blu-ray technology, aligning with the core function of a gaming console. If the strategic direction is to transition away from physical media for future releases, which we acknowledge as a potential inevitability, then integrating a combined original Xbox and Xbox 360 drive into the Helix console, alongside a disc-to-digital conversion option, would effectively address this transition. This strategy would eliminate the necessity for a high-specification DVD player if the focus shifts away from physical disc distribution.
Consider acquiring GameStop to secure control over the physical media distribution channel. Alternatively, develop proprietary solid-state drive (SSD) cartridge technology with enhanced storage capacity. This strategy would ensure the continued viability of physical game discs, particularly through GameStop, offering consumers a safeguard against digital content corruption by providing a physical key or a readily available replacement from a GameStop location. Such a system could be effectively implemented with adequate investment.
It's a short outage, geez. I go outside and sometimes my cell phone disconnects for 20 minutes. Calm down, it's not the end of the world. It happens to everything: PS, Xbox, phones, anything connected to the internet, you know. Servers get updated and packed. It's like making a huge excuse about nothing. If you have the time to go on the internet to rant about not playing a game, just go touch grass for once. I'm tired of coming here and it just sounds like AI bots without a single intelligent thought. Welcome to 2026!
@Millionski Achieving a consistent 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution would establish a strong performance baseline. The game currently demonstrates excellent playability on the Xbox Ally X, and this target frame rate would significantly enhance the user experience.
I recently engaged in a discussion regarding the strategic importance of investing in Solid State Drives (SSDs). My perspective is that such an investment offers long-term financial benefits, primarily due to their sustained performance and potential for strong resale value, even for older models. While the initial capital outlay for high-capacity SSDs, such as 8TB-10TB units, may be substantial, I believe this represents a sound investment that could yield returns over the next 10-12 years.
Square Enix and Sega have been a thing for so long that it needs to happen. Sega can fill in that Nintendo gap for them, and Square is a good universal game company that's closest to Capcom in a way. Maybe even getting Riot Games is a plus.

They should purchase Epic Games before Disney does and do whatever they did to Star Wars with it. It just makes sense for Xbox to have Epic.
