My pals in my base are completely bugged where their icons in the HUD are flashing red and they look like they are all having seizures. It prevents them from taking any actions in the base, except they are still getting hungry. Hoping that this patch has fixed it but won't really know till this evening. It's not fun to play when the base aspect is functionally useless
I was humming and hawing about which console to buy this on as I mostly played its predecessor on Switch. Luckily, being on GamePass means I can double dip with no extra cost
@Tasuki I just wanted to say that this game is way more flexible and forgiving than the previous Souls entries. I was getting super frustrated with Dark Souls 3 as being stuck on a boss feels like you need to get through a brick wall or endlessly grind the same mobs for a few hours.
With Elden Ring, you can just head off elsewhere to explore and gain some levels and weapons. It got to the stage where I was afraid of heading to fight Margit but I ended up really over-levelled for the fight and he melted to my spells .
I'm not trying to convince you one way or the other but I just wanted to give my two cents as someone who also found souls games a bit impenetrable in the past.
The store that I preordered at occasionally processes the orders an hour or two before closing on the day before the release. I'm wishing and praying they do it this time. If not, I'll be outside the store at 9am on the dot
I'm still fairly new to the genre but I wouldn't say it's too difficult per-se. It more-so just makes you avoid button mashing and you need to be deliberate with committing to any action. It took a while to overcome the juxtaposition of needing to slow down during particularly intense fights but once your head wraps around it, it can be very fun.
It's definitely not a genre that would suit everyone but if you give them a fair shake, you might surprise yourself with how much you like it

Re: Elden Ring Network Issues On Xbox Have Apparently Been Resolved
It's nice now having the bloodstains and messages left by other players. I've not done co-op yet but might give it a go this week

Re: You Can Now Pre-Load Elden Ring On Xbox, Even If You Haven't Bought It

Re: Pick One: Which Of These February Xbox Releases Are You Most Excited For?
I'm definitely excited for Elden Ring. I'm super new to Souls-like games and this seems like it's gonna be a real refinement of the genre.
