Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Think Of Redfall On Xbox Game Pass

Valgore

I don't know why but I had very high hopes for this game and was really hoping Arkane would smash it out the park. I'm not a huge dishonored fan but I loved prey and wish they made a prey 2. I was just hoping this game would be the vampire hunting game that I and others have been looking for but as I spoke to my bro today who has been majorly hyped for this, his words were "I can't believe how disappointed I am about this, they messed up what could have been such an amazing game" and that is a major statement from my bro who like I said was really really looking forward to this and wouldn't listen to my criticism about 30fps lol. As it's on GP I guess it's a wait and see what they do game rather than a I'm playing this ASAP game. Sad 😮‍💨

Re: Microsoft Signs New 10-Year Deal Despite UK ActiBlizz Verdict

Valgore

The weird thing about this is the CMA specifically mentioned Cloud and then MS does a deal for cloud based gaming. All they have done here is reaffirm what the CMA said, that they will hold a massive share in cloud gaming and doing deals shows again that MS get to make calls on those deals and MS terms as its thier games they want to stream through other providers. I don't think this is a good look and I think the CMA will be looking closely along with other regulators. Just my opinion though and I could be very wrong indeed.

Re: Xbox's Activision Blizzard Deal Officially Blocked In The UK

Valgore

Wow and now this gets dragged out for longer. Personally I don't see this deal going through and this also shows that indications of the deal passing is just smoke and mirrors, we actually have no idea what will come when it's decision time. Will be very interesting to see what the EU and US will do in the future for sure.

Re: Ex-Halo Lead Announces New Project After Leaving Team Xbox

Valgore

@grumpypotato Wow what a take, you must be great fun to be around, something akin to Abe Simpson shouting at clouds 🤣.

As for this, this could be really interesting if Netflix are entering the console/PC gaming space. More competition and hopefully some decent games will come our way.

Re: Xbox Fans Call On Bethesda To Delay Redfall Until 60FPS Is Ready

Valgore

I want it delayed but I also don't want people to miss out who are willing to play day1 with 30fps.
I get this game is a big deal for MS but this game will launch to a terrible reception now and if it's mediocre then it will be crucified even if it's a good mediocre if you get what I mean.
Will MS and Arcane be willing to keep polishing and fixing a game that to gamers is Complete turd?
I really hope the game is very good and thus guarantees the further work needed to make 60fps happen.

Re: Redfall Will Only Run At 30FPS When It Launches On Xbox Series X And S

Valgore

Holy wow, Twitter has gone into meltdown over this. I really hope MS and Arkane take note and take the L on a delay until its fully ready.

This is a 1st party title and it can't even launch with 60fps, I just don't get it. The series s/x is more than capable and the series X is touted as the most powerful console on the market but yet the devs just can't seem to push it to it's full potential.

As other have said, this has now gone on the pile of "wait for patch before play" such a shame as I was waiting for this.

Re: Poll: Are You Looking Forward To Dead Island 2 Finally Coming To Xbox Next Week?

Valgore

I can't wait for this, I absolutely loved the 1st one but riptide felt more like a dlc to me. Me and my bro have been waiting for this game for soooo many years and now I'm just happy to have the sequal. I really hope it's not to different from the first because what I loved about the first was that it felt so grounded and gritty but also funny. My main issue with the first was the vehicles, It really didn't need them as I enjoyed walking everywhere.

Re: Developer Suggests Xbox Series S May Struggle To 'Keep Up' With AAA Game Demands

Valgore

I do wonder as games become more graphic intensive if the Series S will be left behind, I got a series X because I didn't want to worry about games not running at it's best possible potential and I worry that the S might have the undesirable effect of holding games back due to developers having to get a game that works great on the S when really they could have spent all Thier time making a beast game for a more powerful console. I hope I'm making sense haha.

Re: Xbox Takes Major Step Towards Activision Blizzard Approval In UK

Valgore

Thank god this all might be finally be over even if I'm not a fan of huge take overs. What this whole sorry saga has shown me though is...

1) how petty and slimy big corps can be.

2) How after all this time that console wars are still a big thing which actually makes gamers look really bad!

It's honestly been embarrassing to read what has been said by some on this site and sister sites by certain individuals and when gaming can be such a beautiful thing that can bring people together, it can also be a thing that causes anger and resentment.

Such a shame to see. I also include myself in my disappointment of being swept up in the madness.

Re: Sony Just Wants To 'Block' Merger, According To Activision Blizzard CCO

Valgore

I don't actually think you know what bullying is if you believe that is what I've done here. Stating that people take this Acti deal to personally and thus make comments that are very much beyond normal headed comments is not bullying, it's a very true observation that you seem to have taken offence with which is fine but bullying, that's definitely a reach there.

Re: Sony Just Wants To 'Block' Merger, According To Activision Blizzard CCO

Valgore

Another acti article and the same people throthing at the mouth about sony being the biggest enemy in the world to all people 🙄. Its funny because what's happening in this whole thing is actually easy reading compared to the comments that tend to come by the same people each time, I mean I understand you want your platform to get this deal but seriously you guys need to chill and let it play out and not act like it's actually yourself doing the negotiations haha. It's kind of embarrassing to read what's typed by some here.

Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Discusses The Importance Of Platform Exclusives

Valgore

@NEStalgia I never knew about thier funding to be honest as I never looked very deep into it, I guess I as many others just felt as I said "The 2nd should be multiplatform due to the 1st one being multiplatform" but I never thought about the actual development of said games and the money needed etc. While I'm definitely not a fan of follow up games being made exclusive, you have made me think about it a different way. I absolutely loved OW1 and I'm very glad that it's getting another game in the hopefully bigger franchise. Thank you for your detailed reply, I appreciate you taking the time. Cheers mate.

Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Discusses The Importance Of Platform Exclusives

Valgore

@NEStalgia I don't believe that the amount of time it takes to create a game makes any difference at all when we know that the OW2 would have launched Multiplatform like OW1 and I as many others would believe that a sequal would release to all the people who played the first one and not be locked behind a certain ecosystem. I have to admit I would be very interested in the numbers to see how many players play it at launch compared to the first.

Re: Octopath Traveler 2's Glowing Reviews Make The Xbox Situation Even More Painful

Valgore

It's weird that Octo 2 is on PS and not on Xbox after the 1st one not being on PS but that doesn't stop the whole "sony paid to stop it" nonsense, I mean we actually don't know what's happened here without actual proof.

Seriously though I don't think its right that this game has been taken away from Xbox when it was on there to begin with but I also feel the same with the acti buy out. Games that launched multi plat should always stay multi plat.

Re: Analysts Predict Xbox's Activision Blizzard Deal Will Close Soon, Despite UK Objections

Valgore

This is from Patcher 😂😂 the guy who should be at least half right some of the time but is never right 100% of the time lol.

This deal will go through but with major concessions that will hopefully be for the benefit of gamers as a whole. That is what all of this should be about, gamers as a whole and not about who is better than the other. This deal will not close while there is issues with any governing body not unless Acti/Microsoft want to say good bye to those $$$ which they obviously won't want to do.

Re: FTC Files Lawsuit To Block Microsoft's Takeover Of Activision Blizzard

Valgore

Well this locks down the chance of the merger happening for a Yr or so. It's very interesting to see them highlight that MS has lied to European oversight about not making games exclusive, I believe this will hold weight but I also feel that games like Deathloop etc shows that MS won't renegade on deals already struck but once they have passed then it's up to them which I guess can be argued in court in favourable terms or negative depending on who says what. I think overall this has just been ugly from the start for everyone involved and I don't think this has done any company any good really, it's a hell of alot of PR talk but we don't truly know what's going on. Will be interesting to see where it goes from here but I believe it will still go through but with more concessions, one's that we're not privy to until it's done.

Re: Take-Two CEO Says It 'Doesn't Make Sense' To Launch Day One With Xbox Game Pass

Valgore

I agree with take two. Look for 3rd party game developers it doesn't make much sense going to GP or sony day 1 but 6 months or 1yr after then sure, get that money while you can. Microsoft can afford to do it with thier 1st party games due to having a huge purse but if for some unforeseen reason that money was to start drying up them Microsoft would have to rethink its GP model and how it launches 1st party titles to make up for the losses. Different strokes for different folks and all that.

Re: Xbox's ActiBlizz Deal Set To Face Further Investigations, Sony Issues Critical Statement

Valgore

Overall what should be the main thing to discuss and poll is... Will this acquisition be good or bad for gamers? If the acquisition goes through and Xbox make it exclusive to thier eco, is that good for players on both consoles? If micro buy and sign a contract that guarantees cod on PS for the next 10yrs, is that good for players? Is it good for players if the deal doesn't go through at all? All I care about is the players and so should everyone else, Multiplayer gaming can be and usually is a community building thing, something that can bring us all together to enjoy online gaming. Can this deal result in gaming communities being ripped apart? Remember this game was created and launched Multiplatform and thus created a HUGE franchise, taking it away from multi millions of people isn't a good look for anyone no matter what company was or is going to do it. Do the players gain or lose in this? That should be the ultimate question. IMO.

Re: Ubisoft Reveals Multiple Assassin's Creed Games, One Set In Feudal Japan

Valgore

I'm very interested. Mirage really gave me vibes of the original AC and that's a good thing, I also like Basim and I look forward to seeing his story. Out of all of the announcements in AC I would say that Red is something that's got me thinking about what kind of game it will be, will it be more like Valhalla that is very action based combat with added stealth or will it be a pure stealth game with added action based combat if you wish like AC1, 2, Etc. Either way I'm along for the ride and unfortunately the very long wait for it all.

Re: Xbox's 'Approach' With Starfield Is Leading To More ActiBlizz Scrutiny

Valgore

@BlazeGawd007 I get you but I don't buy into Sony blocking games going to gamepass, I'm not saying they don't do it but I don't know, same as you and any other random doesn't know, right now that's only speculation. I mean the whole cult of the lamb thing was blown by the devs stating that sony didn't block them from gamepass but obviously when proof is shown then I'll believe but I don't really listen to rumours and gossip.

Re: Xbox's 'Approach' With Starfield Is Leading To More ActiBlizz Scrutiny

Valgore

Mate in the UK right now our energy bills are so high that alot of people including myself are cutting back on excess just to cover the energy prices, I'm very lucky because I was bought my series X as a Bday present from my family but right now £250 on a series s is way way out of scope on what's available to spend. Obviously gaming is a luxury but now more than ever gaming will take a back seat.

For so many people, gaming as well as other sectors are going to see less revenue due to people cutting costs, I foresee Netflix being in even worse trouble it already is in and Disney pus losing revenue as well as any streaming service including gamepass and ps extra. The next year is going to really hard but also interesting to see how bad businesses are effected by loss of revenue.

Edit: This comment isn't meant to be an angry reply or rude in anyway and I apologise if it comes across like that.

Re: Xbox's 'Approach' With Starfield Is Leading To More ActiBlizz Scrutiny

Valgore

@BlazeGawd007 I'm sorry but I don't believe that's why PlayStation gamers are angry because the games you mention are first party games created for that console like marvel spiderman for playstation and Halo for xbox. I believe it's because a game that was created multiplatform is possibly being taken away from a platform and obviously due to playstation being the platform that cod could be removed from then that's why they're angry and I believe that if the tables were turned and it was xbox where cod could possibly be taken away then the anger would be coming from xbox fans.

Re: Xbox's 'Approach' With Starfield Is Leading To More ActiBlizz Scrutiny

Valgore

@gollumb82 All good, I'm sorry my reply was rude. I fully understand where you're coming from. I just firmly believe that a game shouldn't be taken away from gamers because they didn't own the correct console at the time and thus that's why I think games that launched Multiplatform should remain multiplatform. If Sony had bought Activision I would be saying the exact same thing and Xbox users would be worried about the prospects of cod no longer being on Xbox in the years to come.

Re: Xbox's 'Approach' With Starfield Is Leading To More ActiBlizz Scrutiny

Valgore

@gollumb82 I also own both and obviously my comment is my own opinion, I thought that would be very obvious considering I'm just someone commenting on an article like you. Your tone about sony fans though is very telling and I'm thinking you should seek some sort of meditation to lower your blood pressure, have a nice day 😊
