Games that launched Multiplatform and became big while being multiplatform should always stay multiplatform. If that IP is being sold then it should only be sold to an outside company that will guarantee that the games will stay multiplatform. If this was the case then all of these stories, rumours etc wouldn't be happening at all and all gamers would still be able to play thier multiplatform games on thier preferred device. The actual gamers win and the "Console wars" will be solely based on hardware and first party titles.
This has me very very interested, as said by @OliverOwen this really does have a No Mercy feel and if they can make those powerful moves feel more impactful and get the flow abit more tweaked then this is going to be a great game. This is definitely a day 1 for me now.
These questions are no longer viable questions to ask, the questions should be about the PlayStation and Microsoft ecosystem, right now multiplatform includes PC/Streaming etc etc.
I have no loyalty to either Co, I've had all PS consoles and all Xb bar the Xbox 1X.
I personally think that all of this is ridiculous and in no way is about the gamers, its business out to make money that's it!
I'm not a fan of any company taking established franchises that were created multiplatform and making it exclusive to one company and I don't think its right that any company should be able to block 3rd party titles from coming out on all platforms at the same time.
Through all of this, I feel this doesn't show either company in a good light and what I forsee in the future is both companies refusing to do Advertising rights on 3rd party games (not publishers they have bought) due to both being worried that the 3rd party title could come out day 1 on GP or PS Premiun/extra although Sony obviously doesn't have a history of this yet apart from Stray so only time will tell if this is something they want to keep doing.
I would love all this Console wars stuff to be based solely on 1st party games and hardware only then it would truely be down to the gamers which console they would prefer to own but now we're in a situation where to enjoy all games available on console, you need to own both and right now in the UK that comes in at £1000+ which is utter madness and once again not something the players should have to do.
I'm lucky enough to have both consoles but I truely believe this deal should be tanked. I don't think this is good for gamers in anyway at all. If this was going to a third party that didn't make gaming platforms then fair play but I don't think it's good when a company who makes a console/pc buys a a company and makes thier games exclusive to themselves or what ever else they might do. I don't think Sony should be able to do it and I don't think Xbox should be able to either. I would love the competition to come from who creates the best 1st party games not who buys the best 3rd party developer.
This has to be a joke right 🤷🏻. Nft's are just a ponzie scheme. This whole console screams of promising the world for investment and then poof that money will disappear.
Wow I'm very surprised with how low 6 is at the moment although I didn't vote for it, I just figured it would have more as it's the newest entry. I played it and I have to admit I just wasn't wowed by it, I didn't enjoy the setting either. 5 is one I never played properly so I'll be playing that now it's on GP.
I had no idea this game existed but if there is land exploration and hand to hand combat then I'm in. I loved the sailing in the AC games and black flag was epic although 3 which started the whole sailing stuff was good also. so my hope is for this to be like black flag minus the whole assassin stuff. I guess they do run the risk of it being compared to AC though but I don't think that is a bad thing tbh.
As long as there is stealth like the other Batman games and there is still easter eggs of know Gotham villains from the past then I'm good to go although I still think the way the red hood gets around is by Sharting himself haha.
@themightyant Cheers for the reply and thanks for the Birthday wishes.
I would honestly be shocked is PS did offer 1st party games but like you said, you never truely know what could happen in the future.
I'm loving GP at the moment and have a good list of games to play and the new PS sub is good but it's a mess at the moment. The way certain things are labeled is confusing.... Like a game will say Premium which would make you believe that it's available for free in that teir but nope, it's just a game trial and even some trials are only 2hrs which is OK but I would like to see that maybe go to 3hrs or more, Some games just take that long to actually get going.
Overall though I'm happy with it and look forward to the future of GP and PS Extra/premium.
@Microbius Cheers, really appreciate it. Love the XSX, I do wish the UI could be updated to something abit more fresh or sleek but I'm loving this beast, now just waiting on those Bethesda games. Have a good one 👍🏻
I'm very lucky because I was bought a XSX for my Bday today and I think GP is epic. I also have a PS5 and the new Subs are good but a mess, they need to tighten it all up.
Ps is never going to offer 1st party games and that's fine by me but if they don't offer some 3rd party games day 1 in the future then that might stop people from getting the new subs. I don't want to say people will switch console and things like that as I wasn't going to switch.
I look forward to the future of GP and the new PS subs.

@OliverOwen exactly what I was thinking, this reminds me so much of No Mercy which was an amazing title.
