If this is Xbox exclusive, I'll finally get an Xbox. This looks like they are going for a comic book rendition. As a massive Transformers fan that grew up with the 80s cartoon, I'm in love. I really enjoyed the more realistic WoC/FoC games but this is just perfect for the G1 characters as they were originally conceived.
Shipped does not mean sold. Companies hide actual figures behind these figures and then boast about them. How many have actually been sold to the customers?
It's sad that only multi platform games interested me in the Xbox E3 show. I fully admit that there is stuff there that friends of mine are excited about. If I only had Xbox, I would want No Man's Sky, Zelda, Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, Splatoon, and Devils Third. To try and say Nintendo didn't kill this year is a lie. After two disappointing E3 shows, Nintendo finally brought their A game. However, I have Wii U so it doesn't matter if those didn't go to Xbox. No Man's Sky is very interesting but it isn't exciting enough to buy a new console.
That must have been very embarrassing for Microsoft but major respect for them doing it. Despite what hardcore Xbox fans thought, Xbox One was not popular. Now it is a viable competitor with PS4. If they could remove Kinect (which they can't) to bring the price down a bit, then the buying war would be on a level playing field.
If Sony does with PS4 what they did with PS3, that will be yet another nail in the coffin for Xbox One. If you don't know, region locking is optional on the PS3.
"The ability to trade in and resell games is important to gamers and to Xbox. Xbox One is designed to support the trade in and resale of games. Reports about our policies for trade in and resale are inaccurate and incomplete. We will disclose more information in the near future."
Wouldn't this have been the perfect time to detail everything exactly. It would have stopped a lot of negativity on the Xbox One. What this tells me is that the reported stories were true and Microsoft have to put in a very urgent u-turn to make the whole issue of used games favorable to the consumer. They don't say what the policy is because they haven't revised it yet.
@SuperKMx If you are right, then great. However, given that Microsoft spent 40 minutes waffling on about TV integration and voice/gesture based controls, it might be unlikely. E3 will reveal all but Xbox One is currently in third place for me in the console war, if you can call it that. All three machines seem to be going in very different directions this year.
@Gamer83 I know there will be games. My point is that if I buy a machine, it will be for playing games. Xbox One will most likely have a high price point to incorporate lots of functions that I really don't want. If they release a stripped down version that is a games console without all the media hub stuff, then I might be interested.
I also understand that people play CoD and other games like that but honestly, I don't see why. I did pick up Modern Warfare 2 when it came out and played it to the end but it was nothing special. CoD Ghosts has been confirmed for PS3 and 360. In fact, many of the games listed in this article are available on machines you already own. £350 (guess price) to play it or £40 to play it on a machine you all ready own. Yes, there are exclusives you can only get on XBox One but the third party games will be available to other consoles.
"Hello everyone we are announcing our new games console that can turn your TV into an interactive experience. What? Games? Well, we have games but we wont show them during a release presentation for a games console."
@SuperKMx You are right about them launching in the holiday season but they will be asking for a lot of money at a time when people are saving money. Wii U has the whole year to generate sales for the console then let games loose in the holiday season.
@SuperKMx I get what you are saying but I have trouble understanding why you would be excited. The games on show during the Xbox One reveal were just videos which are designed to look pretty. The actual games weren't shown at all. Unless you really want to play NFL with the camera pointing right in front of the player so you can't see the apponent rushing you, or in FIFA, you can't see the rest of your team. In the Forza video, the camera changes around so much that you would crash at every corner. My point is, all they showed was video and behind the scenes stuff, but where were the games? I watched the reveal video and I was baffled by all the people applauding the news until I realised most were probably Microsoft employees.
I do agree with you. Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One have a lot to prove at this years E3. There is ambiguity on the features of the consoles and they are things that could lead a gamer to not want the console such as games and second hand games. Wii U has to prove that the games are coming, Xbox One has to prove the games even exist and PS4 has to prove that the console will actually be worth buying. I believe the company in the best position (all are in a bad position) for this new era of consoles is the Wii U because it is out already and they are showing off the biggest games this year. People know what it is about and how to use it. They don't know that for the PS4 or the Xbox One yet.
I'm sorry but as a gamer I'm not interested in the Xbox One or the PS4. Xbox One doesn't seem to be a games machine. The reveal showed it as a Sky Box. That isn't enough to hook me in as a gamer. PS4 showed a lot of games but many of them are either coming to the PS3 or the Wii U, both of which I have.
When you announce a console you shouldn't say "Oh we have the yearly shovelware from EA, a movie trailer and yet another stupid Call of Duty game". They should have put one game in that made people go "WOW!!! I NEED THAT!!! Think about it this way. Come E3, people know what games are available at the Sony area and the Nintendo area but not at the Microsoft area. Do Microsoft think people will be saying "Do you want to go play the new Super Smash Bros game?", "No thanks, I want to go play fantasy football, a game I can play with a pad and pencil" after that presentation, I would be surprised if they did. They failed to hook the hardcore gamers with the presentation and that was a big mistake. I'm sure E3 will have a plethora of games on offer but right now, it is easier to be more excited by Nintendo and Sony, even though I have no interest in the PS4. They should have spent the first half hour on features and the second half hour on system selling games.
@Sony_70 Yes but Nut's and Bolts was supposed to be Banjo Threeie. They changed it around and stripped everything out and then released something that fans were really not expecting.
@Sony_70 I can understand liking Nut's and Bolts but when you compare it to what Banjo Kazooie used to be on the Nintendo 64 it was just a shadow of it's former self.
Rare isn't a big name anymore. All the talent has long since left the company. If it is Killer Instinct, you can bet it will be a Kinect game where you fight for your character. Every time Rare has brought a former Nintendo franchise to Xbox, the resulting game was just terrible.
Wow, I'm totally not convinced to get a Xbox One. That presentation was terrible. Where were the games? It might be able to do all this other stuff but it will be marketed to the hardcore gamer. Where was the pull for the hardcore gamer? I have no interest in PS4 or Xbox One. I will stick with my Wii U and PS3 for the time being.

Re: Microsoft to Show 20 Titles at Conference
I still think the machine looks crap but I'm going to be watching with an open mind.
Re: Pachter Predicts Xbox One Will Sell Out at Launch
@Therad They do that by lying about how many units are available. They claim a shortage and get the remainder ready for the second wave.
Re: Pachter Predicts Xbox One Will Sell Out at Launch
Of course he predicts this. I really think he gets a backhander from Microsoft and Sony.

Re: Friday Five: Five Things Microsoft Got Right With the Xbox One Reveal
That's a shame because I'm always on mine. I have loads of games to play.
Re: Friday Five: Five Things Microsoft Got Right With the Xbox One Reveal
Something that Microsoft did wrong: Nintendo Wii U sales have gone up 386% since the reveal on Amazon. Customers are voting with their money.
