@ElkinFencer10 The orginal trilogy is probably the only games I regret selling as they now sell for a high price, so this is great news as I've had the itch for playing these again.

@ElkinFencer10 I remember playing the first one and struggled to get into it, but still got the second one tried a little bit of that and went woah so I rushed back to the first one to get it finished.

Have I missed something or is this like Silent Hill and they've skipped the first one again? If I remember right the 2nd one was way better but it would be nice to play the first one again.

The PS5 controller only has a 1560mah battery and even my old rechargeable battery packs are 2500mah which would take some beating. It was one worry I had with The Elite battery but that's 2050mah and last way longer than my PS5 controllers. So the choice is do you want to be restricted to how long you play on one charge?

@TheOldHunter4K If it wasn't good for developers then they wouldn't sign on the dotted line, guaranteed money versus lost sales is always a risk but I guess the likes of The Alters and Expedition 33 shows you can have both.

Also those who bang on about Game Pass forget that the 2nd hand market has been around for nearly 35 years, how many sales have been lost over the years from those sales.

@Ricky-Spanish I'm the same to the point I wish they would add a moving screen saving rather than the screen dimming.

@OldGamer999 It varies from contract to contract and something we will never know, but it must be enough to satisfy for them to sign.

Guaranteed money vs Sales money is something fans will always argue over without knowing the full truth, while forgetting that the 2nd hand market has existed for over 30 years resulting in lost sales.

@Kaloudz It was originally January and now May, so as they say time will tell.

@Kaloudz Not with the rumor of the money printing machine that is John Wick 5, it is meant to start this year but when the irons hot you keep going.

@Kaloudz We have to be lucky it didn't go up on the first price hike, but a saving is a saving.

@Gmork It does suck for those who don't get the full benefit or get them at all, but even then there's always CDKeys or Shopto which I've not needed to use yet. At least you're making a saving, and I don't know if anyone else does this but the wife also collects what she can outside of Game Pass rewards.

@Millionski Ninja Gaiden 2 remake, Eturnal Strands, Elite Sniper: Resistance, Atomfall, Avowed and on the 8th South of Midnight have all been day ones on Game Pass just this year that I can remember.

$20 vs $60+ is the main question, along with playing the waiting when games do drop on.

@16BitHero I'm stacked till 2027 and play a lot on Game Pass, I also have PS+ and I get it at Black Friday and I've already cover the £80 it cost me. The key thing with both subscriptions is to make sure you get the value out of them, and with Game Pass at the moment I can't keep up.

You highlighted one thing that I keep saying and that's the ability to be able to drop in and out when needed, if you're the kind of gamer that might spend time on a new game that isn't on Game Pass.

@johnK I've started picking a subject like solar system or animals and then chucking in some random stuff in between, I did click on some of the related searches further so I don't know if that did anything.

@johnK I'm from the UK and both myself and the wife had the time issue.

I understand if it was 5min but I got a 15min time delay when I wasn't even rushing through them.

@Ricky-Spanish It seems to be down to Game Pass, yet in the 90's and 00's plenty of gamers probably rented games. Then let's not forget one of the biggest markets for the last 30+ years, which is the 2nd hand market.

@Residentsteven I haven't physically paid for Game Pass in years, and if you take into account the cost of Live after one or two games the rest are. The reason is due to console sales as those who have a PC will just need a PS5.

Here's me in the middle saving a fortune by having both consoles and subscriptions, play a game and move on. Yes there maybe games you need to buy along the way or want to keep, but the way things are going with digital it's not worth buying especially at full price.

For me it would be Lies of P.

@Kaloudz Depending on your mobile contract they also do Game Pass as a free add-on, but I dropped down to a sim only contract.

@Kaloudz I've been lucky as I managed to get two years ahead, then with my EE Broadband I get a years worth free evey other year.

Mid 2002, I got it for the Buffy game and got Halo CE free with it wgich I knew nothing about it and it blew me away.

@Deljo As they say better late than never, at least it's an improvement as it give you a choice now.

@Deshalu It seems like Microsoft are wanting you to play anywhere within their ecosystem, we're with Sony you're attached to the PlayStation even with the Portal it has to be on.

The beneficial side for the consumers is only needing to by one console if they choose to do so, the down side is do you play it on Game Pass or pay 50+ bucks for it.

I have both consoles and get both subscriptions cheap so I'm saving a fortune, I've been gaming since the 80's and the whole buy, sell and keep is behind me now.

@TheEstablishment Even better if Microsoft did leave the console business how much would Sony charge for a console? I think the 700 bucks for the Pro was just a taste of what would happen.

@Boogaloo_Jenkins Taking away Microsoft owed games I've played plenty of mulpi-platform games on Game Pass, XBox games going to PS5 doesn't change the fact I'm saving a fortune. To the point I got a PS5 with PS+ and playing there exclusives on a Black Friday subscription deal.

@Kilamanjaro Back in the 360 days they were well used in games, but then slowly died out during the XBox One days. I vaguely remember making another one for the XBox One for what it was worth.

@shoeses I didn't know that, well at least that's a positive and there's still a little hope for a revival.

The removal of the avatars is a sign it's not coming back.

This is good timing as me and the wife both do Microsoft Rewards and mine is the only one with a Game Pass account, and last year I didn't earn much more than a non Game Pass account. I've missed the bigger bounes with the play a console/PC for 15min, my PC not the best but I could play Gear 5 five to earn it.

Those are some very unlucky glitches, with 24 hours of play and I've seen some stutter in cutscenes. It's good to see a fix on contrast as well,it does feel washed out at times.

@16BitHero Slightly different order but those are the same 5 games on my list.

@themightyant You can earn up to 20,000 points a month buying from store which has also has had a cut from 40,000.

@themightyant At first it was used on Game Pass until I got two years ahead and now I get a year free with a two year contract with EE Broadband, so I now get Amazon Vochers and since getting a PS5 in 2022 to catch up on exclusives it goes towards my Black Friday PS+ subscription.

My only complaint is I've only got two thumbs.

@MaccaMUFC I do 100% on Bing so mobile and PC searches plus check that both have all boxes ticked as sometimes one of them has something extra.

On the XBox app I do eveything including play a PC game sadly not as good as it once was, then the XBox stuff I 100% the daily, weekly and monthly.

And just after typing all that I just realised do you have Game Pass? As on my wife account she doesn't get the XBox daily, weekly or monthly rewards as it's locked.

@dskatter Also Adam Baldwin and Alan Tudyk (Firefly) It was totally different to any Halo game at the time, I really enjoyed it and found it a refreshing change.

@OldGamer999 You're welcome. I've just looked at the price it's £29.99 or with GP £26.99, so that early access was worth it.

@OldGamer999 Starfield first DLC came with the early access bundle so yes you will.

@OldGamer999 I haven't physically paid for GPU since the start of 2021 with the aid of Microsoft Points and it coming free with my Broadband, even before then users would of been paying more for Gold than I was for GPU.

There are multiple ways to save yes MSP aren't available every where, but the like of CDKeys is.

@Romans12 Ah I see and I can understand as Lies of P was always a worry that I wasn't going to finish it. I'm reading that this more Souls-lite so hopefully more forgiving than others.

@Romans12 Then you're missing out, I never like Soul like games until Lies of P which was my Goty 2023 and I went back to play Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty which I can't believe I nearly missed out on.

I've got two years stacked and two years with my broadband and now just got another year so it's been awhile since I've redeemed a GP voucher.

Can GP be bought with account credit? If so just get store vouchers or get Amazon vouchers, yes it will cost more points but you will still make a saving.

@trev666 I totally agree, there are plenty of ways to get it cheaper. If you're not playing many games then you're simply restricting yourself, when you can play a game that cost about £50 to £70 and complete it then move on.

@InterceptorAlpha Nothing they can do about prepaid just like last time, I'm two years ahead.

The changes may be disappointing but the reward are still there and if you put it back into Game Pass you're multiplying that saving.

At least we still have it unlike the unlucky regions.

@dskatter I started with the PS but left during 3 and came back with 5 and I've had all the XBox's. I have now given Digital Foundry a second chance.
