@Fiendish-Beaver ahh the goal post move lol the next Xbox has been confirmed by Spencer. I said it is rumored to be more PC based. That is off internal reports and from what Spencer has been hinting at. Regardless there is a new console, a licensed handheld and an official handheld all in the works.

Everything shifts. PlayStation said the same thing now their games are porting to PC and at a faster rate with some even releasing day and date on PC. ***** changes again it’s not a big deal, Xbox is now one of (if not the) largest publishers in gaming. To say I should be concerned about them is silly.

@Fiendish-Beaver oh you know just when Phil Spencer himself confirmed they are working on a new Xbox and handheld.

I’m never concerned about the future. Whatever comes next comes next. Even if they did decide to drop the next Xbox and handheld I would say “oh that sucks” and move on. As of right now, Xbox is great.

Doom is the major highlight of next month! I am so damn excited for it! Follow that up with Savage Planet, should be a very solid month again for Gamepass.

@Fiendish-Beaver it’s really not that big of a deal. The next Xbox is already confirmed and rumored to be more PC hybrid which is great. They will continue to push Gamepass and their games on all platforms and we will all continue to reap the benefits. And no it has nothing to do with me, your argument does not include me. I am beyond happy rn with what Xbox is giving me with Gamepass. A commercial that doesn’t mention Xbox has zero effect on me. None.

@Fiendish-Beaver that whole speech sounded fragile and “me me me”. From somebody that games majority of the time on Xbox and has been since the original Xbox, I don’t need Xbox to make me feel special. That just sounds absurd and extremely fragile, entitled and pampered.

@GeeForce any one of them may pull the plug one day. Being upset by maybes and what ifs is wild.

@Fiendish-Beaver they have been marketing the game very heavily on Xbox/Gamepass since its announcement. One thing that doesn’t mention the Xbox base and they throw a fit? I have a very firm understanding that my Series X is mostly a Gamepass vehicle and I am ok with that. It’s been great recently. Gamers seem very fragile nowadays. Offended by everything.

I could see Xbox buying the rights to The Division. And hopefully they would just take Massive with it.

I loved the base game but Shattered Space was pretty meh.

I played a ton of Avowed this weekend. Great game so far

Actually deliver on their games and to justify the price hike of Gamepass. I canceled my sub this year because the only game that I actually enjoyed that came out was Hellblade 2 and it was like 6 hrs long. I’m not going to pay more for COD (which I don’t care about) and a bunch of mediocre games. Time to put up or shut up. Been spending all year pretty much on my PS5.

I’m loving it so far! Fun combat, the story is near the sound design is really well done and the environments are gorgeous.

I’m almost done with Mirage, I have been an AC fan since the first released and I prefer the RPG template.

Still rocking through Baldurs Gate 3! Game is massive. Also grabbed AC Mirage on the Xbox sale and going to give that a go. I am a sucker for AC games, I’ve beaten them all. Oh and maybe squeeze in some time with Asgards Wrath 2 on the Quest 3. That game should not be slept on either. Pretty spectacular the job the devs did on that game.

Remnant 2 DLC, Halo Infinite and ESO Necrom with the wife.

@Widey85 that is a legitimate fear for sure. But if they are expanding their ecosystem past just consoles/PC that would alleviate a lot of those worries. Just depends if it works or not.

To those thinking they are going to drop out of consoles, probably don’t need to worry. We already know they have plans for new consoles a gen ahead, I believe 2028. And of course the slims next year. A lot of their gaming revenue is made up from their ecosystem sales. Not to mention the subs thrive on Xbox. What I do see probably happening is console sales dropping even more next gen as they introduce cheaper alternatives like streaming sticks not to mention the cloud gaming aspect on other mobile devices becoming more viable over the years. The Xbox consoles will be more of a “premier” way to game. I doubt Sony will be far behind on this strategy once Xbox starts taking off more and more into the cloud and mobile markets.

@Dan1283 that is subjective. I know people that wouldn’t look at TotK because of the lack of depth to the game. I personally enjoyed TotK but I can understand people not liking it as well.

We know Baldurs Gate 3 is going to top that lost when it releases next month on Xbox. But if I had to make a list of my highest rated games:

Starfield of course! Was planning on hitting up the Payday 3 beta but it was full when I checked. Need to finish up Sea of Stars as well.

I have 26 hrs into Starfield and I am loving it I would give it a 9.5/10 right now. The story I love! The exploration and all the small details. Fantastic game

I agree with this review. I am over 20 hrs in and it is a fantastic RPG but it got way overhyped which ended up working against it. I’m loving it. And surprisingly only 1 bug so far and that is crazy for a Bethesda game at launch.

Just let it die at this point. Everybody has moved on. I don’t think companies want to pay the crazy amount of money they want.

I’m still trying to get through Starfield and Sea of Stars both of which are fantastic games. Lies of P and Payday 3 this month on top of those. Going to be a great month for Gamepass for sure

Sea of Stars is a great old school RPG, really enjoyed it. Quake 2 of course is a classic and really like the visual improvements of the remaster. Good times!

Game needs a lot of love. It wasn’t terrible imo but a lot of the Multiplayer mechanics were pretty broken.

@Dan1283 I agree. The hype got out of hand for this game. But I am loving it. I think it’s fantastic!

I’m loving it! I have about 12 hrs into it and have only done the first main quest. Been off exploring and just doing random stuff and getting lost in this amazing game Bethesda has put together. Love the character freedoms the game gives as well. I haven’t even hardly scratched the surface of the game though so I will be exploring space for a long time to come!
