This tells me that we won't be seeing MS being allowed to buy anymore publishers. They can't even keep the two they have fully employed.

@Kooky_Geezer Well the reason there doing this is because the loyal Xbox fans aren't enough anymore to sustain there business after these acquisitions. Hate to say it, but there not your buddy they are just a business that cares about making money.

Probably two of my most anticipated games coming. Especially with the pedigree of Remedy.

I think first party titles should be on as many platforms as possible.

@nomither6 I don't think that would happen. Because Sony needs Playstation to succeed to survive. Plus they make some of there biggest profits off of first party games. Because they get 100% of the sales revenue.

@Dimey I feel you. I'm not really worried about it. Xbox is my second console anyways, lol. Im just chiming in my opinion on the matter, but what do I know.

With the ABK stuff I believe there was some miscalculations on MS part when people didn't come running after the deal closed. I read something somewhere that said at the rate of yearly income that Xbox brings in it would take 35 years for them to just recover the money from the ABK deal. Then if you listen to how Phil Spencer stated they are doing this because they "found out something" it kind of tells you it's a money thing. Because people don't seem to care that they purchased these publishers. They are staying on there preferred console.

But anyway it was nice having this discussion with you, and will see how this goes going forward.

@Dimey Well Ori, and Banjo were a partnership with Nintendo and Minecraft was already on everything when they bought Mojang. You might not see those flagpole titles you named come over, but everything else is fair game from how they are wording this to me.

This is different. I believe this boils down to the return on the huge investments they made in Bethesda and ABK. When the deal closed in October I dont think people came running over how they wanted. They even had a sale on consoles last fall and no one cared. I truly believe if the leaks didn't happen and MS could have made this announcement on there terms it would have been bigger games included with these four. They are just going to ease the Xbox community into this now.

This is only the beginning. You might not see anything already announced going over, but the wording around all there announcements at their June showcase will be interesting. They already started changing it when they announced Blade. It's just a matter of time before they do most of their games multiplatform.

I believe this is just the beginning. Even if they have internal plans to bring other titles they aren't going to announce it all at once. It's a drip feed and they gave constant hints that the future is without exclusivity. It'll be interesting to see in the next 12 months how future titles end up.

@Sakai I think GamePass has drove down individual purchases like that. Thats what they're seeing and they really are only focused on GamePass succeeding, so its a win win for them.

I love how the person that wanted to leak this for the public outcry thought this would change a multi trillion dollar companies mind, lol. Like...oh okay the hardcore Xbox community doesn't like this, so will just keep taking a loss and never making a profit after spending almost 100 billion on publishers. 😂😂

People need to chill lol. MS is not going to keep putting exclusives on Xbox and taking an L in the revenue department.

The HD version looks fantastic.

I dont see anything wrong with this, and I understand it from MSs standpoint. I know they are a trillion dollar company, but they can't keep spending money on games and not getting enough of a return. Especially when GP has pretty much stopped growing.

Would have much preferred third person, but Machine Games has really only done first, so its not much of a surprise.

Don't like that this is in first person, but I guess Machine Games didn't want to get outside there comfort zone.

I do feel like MS is starting to come down on Xbox financially. I know MS has trillions, but at some point your gaming division has to start becoming profitable. Money from Game Pass is not going to cover funding for all these studios games, and you know there not making much off game sales because of GP. So I believe MS is probably putting some pressure on Xbox to start getting some of there titles out on other platforms to make more money off of pure game sales.

I enjoy when yall share stuff like this. It's better than the mundane weekly updates to certain games we seem to get all across the internet.

@K1LLEGAL I was thinking the same thing. I think if it were to come to Playstation, the games would have to have trophy support for me to be interested.

As a Playstation guy I get jealous of how MS teases things and tries to build excitement. It's something Sony used to try and do until they got the market lead and now have there noises in the air. Hopefully MS announces something cool. I'm really wanting a solid Hellblade release date tbh.
