Xbox's release slate for 2025 is looking pretty strong already, with the likes of Avowed and South of Midnight already shipping, and then DOOM: The Dark Ages and The Outer Worlds 2 to come - but Xbox boss Phil Spencer also sounds pretty excited about what's not been announced for this year yet.
Talking in a recent interview with Variety, Phil was quizzed about what remaining 2025 games he's excited about - and the Xbox boss just couldn't help teasing us about what Microsoft is still yet to announce for this year.
For us and the rest of this calendar year, I really feel great about the slate of games. We just had “Avowed” come out, and I have to go backwards and just say Obsidian continues to do a great job. We’ve obviously talked about “The Outer Worlds 2,” “South of Midnight,” “Doom.” There’s more stuff, some stuff that’s unannounced and I’m walking in my head to make sure I don’t leak anything.
Of course, we can't speculate too much on those unannounced games as they're still under wraps, but given the ridiculous number of leaks we've seen for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered - that's surely one we can tick off the list as a potential Phil Spencer teaser here.
As for the rest of 'em, well, it sounds like Oblivion Remastered isn't the only re-release we could see in the future. We've heard almost as much about a potential Gears of War remaster being in the works, not to mention other further-down-the-line leaks like one for Fallout 3 Remastered. It sounds like there's lots to come from Xbox in the coming months and years, and boss Phil Spencer seems pretty giddy about telling us more. The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 is right around the corner!
