Agree, but I think the largest userbase is on PC for Microsoft/Xbox.
Plus that you got to make the new Handhelds as shiny as possible.
With that said, the next generation Xbox will have all these features for sure. Series X|S is on the backburner right now, hope we get a new layout/big update on the consoles next year (at the earliest).
Xbox is not dead, if it is, then Playstation is also dead and all hail PC! Because everything is on PC. Xbox is a choice over Playstation and vise versa.
Bought the limited edition on physical disc. Haven't played it much since somehow it can be 30 FPS and still have the "Optimized for Xbox Series X|S" brand on. feel a bit fooled. Will pick it up when it gets 60FPS treatment
@OldGamer999
100% agree.
Xbox and the game studio know that 30fps will scare potential customers away. So it is ballsy to stand and tell people that it will be 30fps. Either they just need to ship it without delay or they don't have the talent to optimize it properly.
@OldGamer999
There "should" always be a option between quality - Performance on all games.
I remember with Starfield before it was released how they defended "30fps" target. It is now 60fps but there is lot of bs everytime with Xbox when they try to defend 30fps.. I would believe it is more for covering up that there is not enough development time and resources to optimize it to run at 60fps.
I can't stand the stuttering with 30fps, it really grinds my gears. Problem is that I notice 30FPS in a second when I play a game and after that I get annoyed with it when moving my camera around that it lags/stutters. I will sacrifice graphics over FPS any day of the week.
It is such a dealbreaker for me personally so I really don't buy any games that are 30fps locked. For you who don't care about FPS, more power to you, wish I was one of you.
I don't really care about exclusivity, think it is limiting the audience. I use Xbox because it is Xbox. Have nothing against Sony. Same principal that I use Android instead of Apple; I'm more familiar with Android and it serves my needs.

@FuzzieGinge88
Optimized For Xbox Series S|X:
Faster load times
Higher resolution visuals
Improved frame rates
Ray tracing
Smart Delivery
I don't feel they fill even half of that criteria so, yeah.. I might be a bit hard to have "optimized for Xbox Series X|S" still mean something.
If you look at the Steam recommended requirements for the game, Xbox Series X, PS5 and Pro should easily have 60FPS.
Optimized.. yeah sure

Say what you want about Ubisoft, but they really understand that people want to choose themselves between Performance and Quality.

The 4K 120fps concept has really not aged well .

Still going to support Xbox going forward.
