With Starfield now being out for a week or so on PS5, the folks over at Alinea Analytics have provided us with some sales estimates at the port's seven-day mark - and it sounds as though the Bethesda RPG has just done okay so far.
According to the firm, Starfield has shifted roughly 140,000 copies in a week on PS5 - a number that Alinea describes as "a middling start". It's seemingly selling faster than Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Ninja Gaiden 4 and The Outer Worlds 2 did in a week, but the analysis says that this performance is "not fantastic for a port of the biggest Bethesda RPG in a decade".

Having said that, the hype around the port and its accompanying DLC pack & update does seem to have had an affect on the existing Xbox and PC versions of Starfield. The outlet shows a huge player spike for the game on those platforms from April 7th, and it's also sold another 55,000 copies on Steam in that time too.

In other good news, this Alinea report also talks about some of Xbox's biggest PS5 port successes so far. Forza Horizon 5 has sold "a staggering 5.7M copies on PS5", whilst Gears of War: Reloaded has passed the one million mark on all platforms (70% on PS5) and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's PS5 sales have now reportedly surpassed the Steam version.
