Original Xbox day 1…I was a Sega refugee (Genesis->saturn->dreamcast). Jumped on Xbox because of the Sega support, and stuck through even as they released games exclusively on PlayStation (ie was mega upset yakuza didn’t originally come to Xbox, but good things come to those who wait 🤣). Love that series systems are getting Japanese support like in the 360 days.

I’ve also never played Halo or Gears 🫣…but loved me some fable (new one been my most anticipated since getting my series x in 2022).

I’ve prob used more in the past month since they revamped the rewards system. If I can’t play on console, I’ll play something easy on my phone (like vampire survivors) for a bit to get the reward.

Can’t wait to play this. Looks too good, so am enjoying the generally positive reviews this far

At this point, I think Xbox is just trying something that is ruffling the feathers but in 5-10 years we’ll all look back and wonder why it was never always like this. I say this as someone who doesn’t really understand giving up exclusives and doesn’t think it’s the best path forward, but am apt to believe they know something I don’t about where next Xbox is going.

I gave my #2 unlisted vote to “Visions of Mana” - it’s not the greatest game, but probs the most fun I had playing a game this year.

Series S looks pretty damn money. If they weren’t side by side I’d be saying both look money and can barely tell the difference.

@GeeForce Xbox hasn’t figured out how to get universal praise for their games, but they clearly nailing the “you LOVE it or you HATE it” situation 🤣

Waiting for my credit card to get its next cycle 🤣

But plan to scoop Legend of Mana and Trials of Mana. Might scoop a few other things, but even with Mana being on gamepass, the sale prices too good.

Though I did buy The crew motorfest and Balatro from Best Buy

Def looking forward to this. Dragon Warrior was probs the first RPG I played back in the day on the NES…had no idea what I was doing but put so many hours in.

Never played another one until DQ11 after I got my series X. Was such a good game (and longest game I’d ever played until I played Persona 5 Royal 🤣).

Getting Series X and the first game I put in was Sega Rally Revo from the 360..,its when I learned everything is not backwards compatible 🤣

Then proceeded to play DQ11 on gamepass 🤙

I know it’s on gamepass, but for those who like physical Limited Run got one coming 🤙

just beat the first dungeon after about 11.5 hours. Def enjoying the game this far, but keep stressing that I’m not using/building out the right archetypes 🫠🤣

/yotei…but not enough to buy a PlayStation since my current Xbox backlog is ridiculous

glad to see Xbox working with all of them, but I’d have to say most interested to see where the renewed relationship with SE goes.

Preordered months ago. Can’t wait for this game. This and AC shadows were the two games I was looking forward to this fall/winter. I know Metaphor gonna take forever , but I’m ready. It’s become a yearly tradition since P5R dropped for me to close out the year with an Atlus game (P5R in 2022, and P3P in 2023 (which is main reason I haven’t played Reload yet)).

@Shalooda did not play the demo. Preordered the physical months ago. I know I’m playing it

@FarmDog08 yeah I def love Y7 and Infinite Wealth. The combat in Ishin and Y0 is really good. I’m currently playing Gaiden and I’m not sure why but I just don’t like the combat as much 🤷‍♂️

Still haven’t played this but just got my physical copy…might just wait til November and try to play with my kids

I’m honestly just waiting for Metaphor Refantizo at this point. Finally playing LaD Gaiden to kill the time as it’s kinda a low commitment game.

I started following this game about a year ago. Was always wondering if it’d come to Xbox, but glad the answer is yes!

I thought it was pretty solid. Did t feel like too much new, but was excited to see Threads of Time, the two old man’s games dropping in Gamepass, and of course the official announcement of the pixel remasters!!!!

I also can’t wait for Atelier and Slitterhead

I probs wouldn’t buy one unless my current system stopped working; even then I’d likely lean towards the reg system as I’m someone who can barely tell the difference in these side by side comparisons

Nice. I played P3P last winter (played as FeMC since she wasn't in reload)so didn’t play P3R upon release (though bough the collectors edition). But I might play sometime in the next 6 months after this DLC drops. Game looks money, but persona games are a huge commitment, though really good, but I just need to play other games in between

I def enjoyed my time. Put about 50 hours in (30 just doing random things, then 20 doing the mainline).

I haven’t touched since the updates, always thought I’d comeback for shattered space, but probs not til next year. Too much other things I want to play this year first

I was somewhat interested in this since it seemed like like a throwback arcade style racer. Didn’t realize it was online only though 🫠 not really trying to buy something that will disappear in a few years

Man, this wasn’t my most anticipated game but when physical preorders went up, I put one in. Hope it all works out.

@andrewsqual I eventually bought Crisis Core, but didn’t buy at release because it came out right after they announced pixel remasters for PS and Switch…so was a little salty/confused about SE bringing more games to Xbox

Def interested in Neva, Tales of Graces, that Atrlier game, and Suikoden. Completely forgot Nintendo was doing something today.

Really hope Xbox can help Capcom fix that MT framework issue. Capcom just opening the floodgates for everything

I actually bought the crash games and Spyro used last year. Soooo to me the best part of them coming to gamepass is gonna be getting points for playing. I mostly haven’t played since I bought them for my kids

Man I def would have scooped. I didn’t play this when it released on OG Xbox cause I was all about 3D fighters (namely DOA), but in recent times I’ve really started appreciating 2D fighters again.

It seems if you played the first one, your opinion generally carried over to the second or you were let down.

I also feel it provides a game that is different than the standard Xbox fare…but seems a lot in the core Xbox/Gamepass fanbase just continually want shooters when AAA games added to gamepass.

I don’t preorder digital, but I still preorder physical fairly often (especially if a steelbook is included…I don’t care for most other Knick knacks included with physical, though the art books or soundtrack are also cool).

@Fiendish-Beaver pretty much agree with everything you summarized, especially how they treat their should be “exclusives”.

Only part I think I disagree with is third party support for gamepass. Is it currently struggling? Seems like 2024 has been a pretty good year for gamepass. Then again I have gamepass but don’t feel like I utilize it enough, since most games I want to play this year haven’t been on gamepass.

I played both FIST and Sword and Fairy. Both were money games. Wish both had physical releases on Xbox.

I’m still looking forward to this. In either scenario I’ll scoop when available on Xbox 🤷‍♂️

@FarmDog08 wish Xbox was getting Romancing Saga 2 remake, but overall good to see most of it multiplat.

Also wish Xbox was getting the Marvel vs Capcom collection. Feels like Capcom also starting to be more hit/miss/selective this year with Xbox?
