I really hope this (and Elite Series 3) do happen and soon. Xbox controllers are so close to perfect already, but if they added haptics and TMR (or Hall effect) sticks/triggers and maybe a couple of other new features, oh man. That’d be a dream.
I can’t imagine what I’d want in an Elite Series 3 beyond the above features and then EXTREMELY increased durability, but maybe a modular approach for the sticks and buttons would be great (especially sticks to easily replace them). And then a surprise new feature or two would be awesome.
Yes, Sony is absolutely overreacting and is the pot calling the kettle black. With the script flipped, they’d be making every Activision Blizzard game fully exclusive to PlayStation and nobody would hold them to nearly the same scrutiny or accountability as Microsoft is being held.
