@dsar9012 I agree that it could kill their consoles, but Microsoft is first and foremost a software company. They want GP to be as easy to use as Netflix on any device. Their console sales could plummet dramatically. However, gaming publishers make money by selling software rather than hardware. Imagine how many GP subscriptions they could sell if they could sell it on every device possible.
When high-speed internet becomes more affordable and widely available. Cloud gaming will become more appealing to people who simply want to play. Nobody knows how the gaming industry will evolve. So who knows if Microsoft's plans will pan out. I'll probably keep using my PC or console until cloud gaming can match or outperform it.
@dsar9012 Microsoft's plan is to sell GamePass and make it available on as many devices as possible. You can blame Phil Spencer for the lack of time exclusive games. But that doesn't make it any less ***** that Sony is money-hatting third-party games in order to keep them off other platforms.
@GADG3Tx87 You're not a PlayStation fanboy, but the comments in this thread triggered you. You're not going to fool anyone in here. On PushSquare, I constantly see you making salty comments about PS games coming to PC, even referring to them as "our games."
@NEStalgia PS fanboys are the most obnoxious when it comes to exclusivity. Some of them think they share ownership to PS games. Just because they bought a copy of the game to check-in the DRM.
They will always say that Xbox and PC gamers should not expect every game to be released on their platform. However, when the tables are turned against them, they have a temper tantrum. You'll never win an argument with these guys because they keep moving the goalposts.
Their toxic behavior toward other platforms is the result of constant arguing on social media and forums. So, when PS gains a competitive advantage. They believe they have won an argument.
@Banjo- When a new game trailer is released, I'm sure the first thing PS fanboys look for is whether it's exclusive to PlayStation or not. It is most likely their top priority over gameplay and graphics.
@Banjo- Yup. Look at the comments on PushSquare. PS fans are more excited that FF7 Remake will not be coming to Xbox any time soon than the actual trilogy announcement. Somehow, knowing that other people on another platform won't be able to play the same game without spending another $500 adds to their enjoyment of gaming.
Square-Enix will eventually release FF7 "Remake" (reboot) on Xbox. But it might take several years before it happens. Just like previous FF titles and Kingdom Hearts.
I'm not really excited about this game. The last FF title I've really enjoyed is FF10. I haven't even finished Intergrade. I prefer the turn-based combat from the OG series.
It's a decent list but offers nothing for me. I already got Valhalla, Watch Dog and a free copy of Far Cry 3 on PC. This is going to be a problem if you're only offering older games, since there's a huge possibility that many already own a copy of those games. But I think Sony is banking on the nostalgia factor of the PS1 - PS3 era than anything else.
@ShadowofTwilight22 Good. Because you know complaining about longer game development time doesn't do anything.
The games are not even out yet and we still get people in here complaining how developers should do their jobs. Much less PS fanboys who couldn't care less about Xbox games and just wants to fuel the "console war" by pretending to be a concern gamer.
@ShadowofTwilight22
Nope. Complaining will not help them to manage their studios to be better either. Whining and complaining about longer game development time accomplishes nothing.
@ShadowofTwilight22 The only people complaining here are the PS fanboys. It's great that you mentioned Sony, just look at the games they were able to release at the end of the PS4 lifespan. Their gaming studios might have taken longer developmental time but it paid off in the end.
@ShadowofTwilight22 What do you want them to do? Launch the game when it's not ready, So people can complain that they should have delayed it.
There's plenty of games to play for the rest of the year, exclusive or not. I don't know why people need to whine and complain because one or two games got delayed. Right now, I even have 5 or 6 games I haven't finish yet.
@ShadowofTwilight22 Are you joking? The game got delayed to ensure it's quality. How is that mismanagement?
Only PS fanboys will jump on the Xbox hate bandwagon when they delay the launch of their games. Because, if you're really a fan of their gaming studios, you'll understand why they will need to delay it. Just like how PS fanboys supported Guerrilla Games decision to delay HFW.
It's better for the developers to delay the game than launch it full of bugs and glitches. The PS fanboys commenting here and agreeing with Jaffe had a different tune when Sony delayed HFW.
Sony is just echoing what their fanboys have been saying about GamePass and using it in their favor. Increasing the price of their games because of it's "premium" quality, refusing to put their exclusives day and date on their subscription service, locking features such as backwards compatibility behind a paywall. It's like every pro-consumer move Xbox does, Sony will do the opposite because their fanboys are encouraging them to do so.
I can only see Sony acquiring Japanese publisher/dev, since there is no way they can outbid MS or Tencent under different circumstances. If anything, it might be a dev studio that specializes on live service games.
The salt and mental gymnastics over at Push Square is effing hilarious. I'm glad MS bought Activision instead of Tencent. My GPU subs for three years is totally worth it.
Spiderman PS4 had great graphics but that's it. I finished the game for the story but I didn't find the open world or gameplay to be fun. The NPC's on that game is as lifeless as Cyberpunk. But I'm genuinely excited for Wolverine.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2022?
I cannot wait to play the games that was featured on the showcase. But their presentation was lackluster and the pacing was all over the place.
