@BAMozzy You can buy a SteamDeck for $549. Its has the same specs as the base Ally but comes with a superior OLED screen. These devices are terrible values.
The combat isn't meant to be God of War. This "reviewer" is so clueless and has completely missed the point as so many ADD GenZ types do.
So many so called gamers have just become locked into certain ways they think a game can be experienced. This is why we get CoD every year and endless Assassin Creed games that do the same sh*t over and over.
@BleedingDreamer The 40FPS option for those with 120Hz VRR Tv's is a great option that should become standard for any game that has issues hitting the standard 60fps.
In the future this game will be seen in the same revised positive light Cyberpunk is now. The continued updates and the upcoming expansion will show this is another great Bethesda title.
@lacerz Price increases should have always been expected the day this deal was announced. Can't drop 70 billion and not have a GP price increase. They do need to get games in faster than 1 in the first 6 months of ownership.
@somnambulance This looks like these studios were 'sacrificed' to make way for Bethesda's expansion to be able to work on the nest Elder Scrolls game and another Fallout.
It feels like Microsoft will turn into just aother AAA place with smaller studios pushed aside to support the machine of the big IP's.
@BacklogBrad This isn't creative. It allows them to cut the resolution down some for performance. They are just spinning it off as a 'creative choice'.
The game was an interesting reboot/origin story up until it turned into a Uncharted/John Wick shooter at the end of the game. Almost zero real in depth 'Tomb Raiding'.
Bethesda is now saying both modes are supposed to be 60fps. The performance mode is just 'more aggressive' in changing settings to keep the framerate target.
The 'failure' or RT on consoles isn't because of the tech. Its the weakness of the AMD GPU in this area compared to Nvidia and mixed signals and information to gamers from devs. RT is a series of different effects, it's not just a switch that is flipped.
It can noticeably help in games like Metro Exodus or Spiderman 2. Many games use a minor effect like shadows and then claim "Ray Tracing!".
Go see Alan Wake 2 or Cyberpunk 2077 in 'Overdrive' mode. Those will show you what's possible.

Re: Former Xbox Exec 'Major Nelson' Announces Next Move In Gaming
Makes me wonder if his leaving was totally his choice or was be part of Xbox's past layoffs/restructurings.
Re: Preview: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Is A Confident Return for BioWare
This looks nothing like a Dragon Age game. The Bioware that made classics like Origins, Mass Effect, KOTOR etc is long dead.
Re: New Free-To-Play PVP Shooter 'Marvel Rivals' Locks In Xbox Release
Kinda looks like SMITE with superheroes.

Modern gamers are the problem on the developers.

Re: Activision Is Opening A New Studio To Build 'Genre-Defining' Games At Microsoft
So, Microsoft is going full Disney. Nothing but the biggest games. Forget anything medium or small scale.
I mean its working out so well for The Initiative...
