Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of 'Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn' On Xbox So Far?

Played it, completed it, loved it. Really interesting fantasy 18th Century setting, combat deeper than it looks, nice turns from the actors playing Nor and Enki, and hey, there might be a bit of jank, but when it's got this sort of character and heart, and is such good old fashioned fun, who cares?

Surprisingly moving ending, too. Although that last boss can GRTF.

(The reviews on the Xbox store are an absolute cesspit.)

Re: Antstream Arcade Reveals New Batch Of 10+ Retro Games Heading To Xbox

I tried Antstream Arcade and here are a few thoughts:

  • the interface is slow and awful. A big list of all the games to work through would be nice, and the genre list is patchy.
  • it lags something terrible when trying to play a game, even on my 100MB/S broadband.
  • finding games you've favourited should be more straightforward - a link at the top of the homepage, rather than having to go into your profile.

In general, I just gave up after 30 minutes in the face of an interface that appears to actively hate me, and had it refunded. What a missed opportunity.
