Fancy checking out some new betas on Xbox? We've got a couple of big ones heading our way in April!
The first of these is for Invincible VS, and it's happening this week. The brutal 3v3 superhero brawler releases in full on April 30th, but its free open beta takes place for Xbox Series X and S from April 9th (10am PT) to April 11th (9pm PT).
"The Invincible VS Open Beta is a global, at-home event for console players. Be among the first to experience Invincible VS and play the game ahead of launch."
The second one that's way more surprising is a closed beta for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. This sci-fi action RPG was revealed at the Xbox Partner Preview showcase a few weeks ago, and it's not releasing until some point in 2027, but the beta takes place on April 22nd, 2026 — and again, it's playable on Xbox Series X and S.
Unfortunately, the only guaranteed way to access it is by purchasing either the Miller's Pack or the Collector's Edition of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn on the game's website in order to gain access, which means forking over at least $79.99. The dev team has been giving away Steam codes for the beta on social media as well, but we've seen no signs of any Xbox giveaways just yet.
"The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Closed beta will become available on Xbox Series X|S from April 22, 2026, for those who support the development of the game as Founders and purchase the Miller’s Pack or the Collector’s Edition on the game’s official site. The closed beta will run all the way up until release, so you have plenty of time to purchase either edition and jump in. As for what you’ll be playing when you get access, the beta will allow you to experience a full mission taken directly from the game. It starts as you and your twin return to your base, Pinkwater 4 station, on a mysterious ship you took by force to escape from Eros."
And finally, if you really can't wait until Xbox first-party title Kiln releases on April 23rd, it's getting a free "Open Beta Throwdown" between April 9th and April 11th, but only on Steam.
Xbox console owners will just have to wait for the full thing in a few weeks' time!
