Circana's Mat Piscatella has today shared a bunch of industry figures and statistics from January 2026 — including a top-20 list of the best-selling games in the US last month — and Microsoft has taken the top spot.
Yep, you guessed it, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the best-selling game of January 2026 in the US. Despite being lamented as a relatively poor entry in the Call of Duty series, this franchise will always shift units, and that's still the case here with Black Ops 7.
The list, which we'll include down below, takes physical and digital sales into account - excluding anything from Nintendo, which doesn't share its digital sales data.
As you can see up above, Microsoft also took three other spots amongst the top-20 with Forza Horizon 5, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Fallout 4. PS5 ports for the first two and historic hype for Fallout following Season 2 of the TV show and the recently-released Anniversary Edition will have likely contributed to their spots on the list.
