There's been a lot of interest in Aniimo ever since it was first announced, and we found out back in June that it would be coming to Xbox in 2026. Today, as part of Xbox's Tokyo Game Show event, it received a brand-new trailer as well.

This game is described as a "next-gen open-world creature-catching ARPG", so basically it's trying to follow the Pokémon and Palworld formula for the most part, and it'll also be launching free-to-play when it arrives next year.

"Pathfinder, something is happening in Idyll... Are you ready to embark on a new adventure in this dynamic, interactive, and expansive world to uncover all its hidden secrets? Along the way, you’ll encounter a wide variety of Aniimos, and if you’re lucky, you might even discover their rare and stunning Prismana forms! Collect, evolve, and Twine with your Aniimo as you explore the breathtaking world of Idyll. But beware, powerful enemies await! And only by standing united will we have the strength to defeat them. Together, we are stronger!"

We can't help but feel like there are some Everwild vibes in this trailer as well though. Perhaps it's because the cancellation of that game still feels so raw, but the wispy visuals here remind us of the Everwild trailers, albeit with a more playful tone and a different art style compared to what we saw of Rare's project.

Let us know what you think! We'll throw the new trailer for Aniimo up above, and you can go and wishlist this one on the Xbox Store if you're interested. Here's hoping it won't be too long until we can play this game for ourselves.
