Last week, we got news that High on Life 2's Xbox Game Pass launch has been slightly delayed until February 2026 - and a new game dev interview confirms that the sequel packs in a number of emulated retro games that players will also be able to enjoy on release.
Speaking with IGN, Squanch Games creative officer/art director Mikey Spano says that "more than five" retro games will be emulated and playable within High on Life 2, including infamous NES title Bible Adventures. Spano also says that "some surprising B+ tier movies" will be packed into the game as well.
If you remember, this was something that was started in the first High On Life. Indeed, five cult-classic B-movies were available to watch on an in-game TV or movie theatre in the first game, with the team continuing and expanding on that trend here in the sequel.
Aside from the aforementioned retro game Bible Adventures, we don't know what else will be watchable/playable in High on Life 2 just yet, and we assume Squanch Games will be keeping most of that under wraps for players to discover. Discover it they shall, though, when High on Life 2 release for Xbox Game Pass on February 13th, 2026.
