Original Story: Wildgate is making its debut across multiple platforms including Xbox today, and it takes the form of a PvP multiplayer shooter featuring a mix of ship-to-ship combat and fast-paced first-person action.
In the game, it's your job to build a thriving spaceship with a team of up to four players, upgrading its capabilities while also venturing into a "dangerous stretch of space" called the Reach as you attempt to defeat your enemies and potentially escape with the "Artifact" - a relic that will win you the match if you're able to keep it!
"In Wildgate, you’ll team up in crews of four in your own spaceship to explore a dangerous stretch of space known as the Reach. Explore and fight in exotic locations, loot and upgrade your ship, then look to win a match in one of two ways. Either locate and escape the map with the Artifact – a mysterious relic of immense value – or man your guns and be the last ship standing!"

In fact, Wildgate proved really popular in its open beta, racking up over 120,000 matches and over 500,000 wishlists, suggesting today's release could end up being a hit! We'll have to wait and see how it fares on Xbox Series X and Series S later today - it's not available at the time of writing, but it'll soon go live for £24.99 / $29.99 on the Xbox Store.
