Looking for some free games to play on Xbox this weekend? Fortunately we've got a few free betas that are available for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S owners, including one that's only available later today - so you'll need to be quick!
Upcoming Xbox Game Pass title Rematch is the first of these Xbox betas, getting a "limited tech test" that literally only takes place for four hours later today. The Rematch beta begins at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST and ends at 1pm PDT / 5pm EDT / 9pm BST (on May 9th), so it only lasts for about two real-life football matches!
If you end up missing this one, Rematch will also be getting a closed beta at the end of May as well.
The second of these free Xbox betas is Wildgate, which is a PvP multiplayer shooter that's being developed by Moonshot Games - made up of various ex-Blizzard employees. The free Xbox beta for Wildgate begins today (May 9th) at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST, and ends on Monday, May 12th at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT / 1am BST.
To participate in either of these free Xbox betas, you'll need to locate the Xbox Insider Hub app on your Xbox console, scroll to the "Previews" section, and you'll find the two games in there (unless they've expired or reached their maximum player counts). Limited space is available, so be sure to "Join" them while you can!
Finally, we want to bring your attention to Wizard101, which has had an Xbox version in the pipeline for a while now, and it's suddenly appeared ahead of the weekend! You can check out the "Game Preview" version (which is essentially a beta or early access version) on your Xbox console right now without having to pay a thing.
This classic MMORPG from the 2000s is expected to leave "Game Preview" status eventually, and it's a free-to-play game anyway, so it doesn't seem as though it'll expire or disappear off the Xbox Store at any point.
