The retro-inspired hero Shovel Knight is currently celebrating his 10th anniversary, and as part of this, developer and publisher Yacht Club Games held a special broadcast announcing a bunch of new projects.
Perhaps the highlight of the lot (apart from the announcement of a new game which will thrust Shovel Knight into an "entirely new dimension") was the reveal of Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX - an enhanced edition of the original adventure that started it all.
It will come packed with 20 new playable characters, online multiplayer, a rewind and save state feature, cheats, and is apparently "coming soon". Outside of PC, console platforms haven't been confirmed just yet, but you can check out the trailer above.
"Simply put, this is the definitive edition of Shovel of Hope. It's also our way of preserving the game's historical functionality, ensuring these elements remain available for future generations of players. And with the new multiplayer features and other enhancements, we hope it includes everything on your wish list."

Shovel Knight Dig Wicked Wishes Free DLC - Summer 2024

Mina the Hollower - TBD
"Yacht Club Games gave an update on their highly anticipated title. They announced that they are nearing the completion of the initial pass on all level content. As 'Mina the Hollower' has evolved, it has grown significantly larger than initially anticipated, incorporating an expansive overworld and more RPG elements. Expect a grand gameplay reveal in the near future."
A new Shovel Knight title is in development
