We've been waiting for an Xbox release date for Hypercharge: Unboxed for what feels like an eternity at this point, and after a cheeky teaser last month, the dev team has finally delivered. This bright and colourful toy-soldier shooter is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on May 31st.

Yep, after two years of work to get the Xbox release going, Digital Cybercherries is now locked and loaded with its late May release date. Here's how the team describes its popular shooter, which has been out on PC and Nintendo Switch for quite some time:

"Inspired by films like Toy Story and Small Soldiers, Hypercharge: Unboxed is the first and third-person shooter action figure game you've always dreamed of! Grab your friends, complete objectives, defend the Hypercore against waves of weaponized toys and defeat Major Evil together in the story campaign. Hypercharge welcomes both parents and children into a vibrant world of action figures and toys."

Hypercharge: Unboxed features "a full story campaign mode" and "an array of PvP modes" for Xbox users to enjoy, in either solo play or up to four player co-op. You can also play this shooter in both first and third-person, with local split-screen support a welcome feature too.

Anyway, we're finally in Xbox Hypercharge month, with just a few weeks to go until the full release date. If you're thinking about picking the game up for launch, the team is currently running a 10% pre-order discount throughout May.
