Starfield is officially launching this year! We know, we can't quite believe it either. Bethesda's next RPG launch is fast approaching, and the team continues to share sneak peeks on social media.
The latest look showcases 'New Atlantis', the capital of the game's 'United Colonies'. It looks quite the fortress, standing tall behind lush greenery and some rather menacing looking rock formations.
The concept looks great and all, but yeah, we're really ready to see this one in action. Luckily enough, we shouldn't be too far off some proper gameplay. In a holiday message last year, Bethesda Games Studios legend Todd Howard said the team "can't wait to show it [Starfield] to you next year."

Looks grounded in reality… feels like the Expanse (book or series).

Honestly am hyped out of starfield. Heard about it for too long. Just meh about even playing it. If do decide play chances are going easily wait good 6-12 months until the bugs and issues are worked out. It is a bugthesda game. So know will be issues. No way around it.

Todd Howard has made me extremely hyped for this game. It’s just what he does.
@Medic_Alert I have negative hype for it. Whatever their track record, every game is new. I need gameplay and polish. Anyone can make concept art.
Why not show us some actual gameplay? A plot? Some characters? Anything??? Game supposedly drops in months an we’ve seen nothing. My hopes aren’t high.

Wouldn't it be nice if Arkane Studios do the combat or level design of smaller areas, they are so good at that and I as much as I want to like Skyrim I just can't enjoy the action or the repetitive caves and dungeons.
Those spires in the background really remind me of the eponymous city in Stargate Atlantis. If this was, secretly, the big Stargate game that the world deserves then I'd actually be excited about Starfield
