You might have heard some rumblings about a new Matrix "experience" coming to PlayStation in recent days, and now we know it's definitely coming to Xbox Series X and S as well — you can even pre-download it.

It comes with a file size of almost 30GB, so it sounds like a pretty chunky experience, and it's described as a "free, boundary-pushing cinematic and real-time tech demo." Here's the full description:

"Created by members of the original movie team including Lana Wachowski along with Epic Games and partners, 'The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience' is a wild ride into the reality-bending universe of 'The Matrix' that features performances by Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Want to see what’s possible when you combine the power of Unreal Engine 5 with the Xbox Series X/S? Step into the world of one of the most iconic action franchises ever made. Pre-download 'The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience' now."

The only other thing we know about it so far is that it will be officially revealed at The Game Awards 2021 on Thursday evening, so that's seemingly when the experience will unlock on Series X and Series S.

That said, we haven't had a chance to see what happens when you load up The Matrix Awakens yet, so let us know what you find! It can be downloaded right now via the Microsoft Store (you'll find the web link above).

Are you going to pre-download this ahead of Thursday? Let us know in the comments below.
