The team behind the popular PC and PlayStation game Fall Guys has confirmed that an Xbox (and Nintendo Switch) release is still a top priority, but it won't be getting a surprise launch before the end of the year.
Fall Guys' official Twitter account responded to speculation about a shadow drop for the battle royale game on Xbox and Switch yesterday, denying that was the case and promising more details on those versions in 2022:
Over on the official website, it was further elaborated that the Xbox and Switch versions are " one of our top priorities in active development", while the addition of cross-platform progression and cross-platform play for PlayStation and PC in Season 6 will prove "an important step towards bringing Fall Guys to additional platforms."
Fall Guys was initially supposed to release on Xbox earlier this summer before developer Mediatonic's acquisition by Epic Games put a halt to those plans. At the time, the intended launch window was described as "unfortunately just too soon for us to include all of the tasty new features we're working on."

This came out originally for Playstation 4 in 2020. They first said it'll be out for xbox by summer 2021 and then the Developer got acquired by Epic. They then changed the date to this year. Now its 2022, just speculating but I think the reason they've pushed the release back is because of the continuous calloboration with Sony. They've done one for season 6 with Little Big Planet and Ghost of Tsushima. I think this is the real reason behind the delays, its probably related exclusivity deal.
To be honest it's been so long my kids don't care anymore. The fad has gone for this game there not interested any more. Too little too late, sorry!
It’s been a long time coming, but I will be happy when it does. We have it on PS4 but it can only be played solo, when it makes the leap to Xbox and Switch (we have two of each) my kids and I will finally be able to play multiplayer with me on this game!
Just wish it hadn’t taken so long!
The shipped sailed on this game. They missed their window to capitalize on it on other platforms over a year ago. With the amount of money they raked in on this, there's no excuse this couldn't have been ported a long time ago...
I guess they chosen the sony money over a multi console release, I hope for them it was worth it.

Kind of seems silly not get help from their bigger partner to at least get a Switch port out. And I don’t really think they are small they have 230 employees and Epic money at their disposal. Not sure how that’s a “Small Team”
And Wikipedia even lists their employee size as 230 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mediatonic They worked on Gears Pop for MS.
Still remember when this game came out and it was pretty popular.
Those days are long gone and I think it's WAY too late for any Switch or Xbox ports unless they switch over to being a F2P game.

Yeah the hype really was real for this title when it came out originally. It had already signifigantly dropped off when they first announced that it was going to come to The Switch and Xbox in the Future ( I believe they said Summer 2021). Even if they made that date, it is going to HAVE TO COME TO GAME PASS to have a chance at sparking back up again. Devs, your shooting yourselves in the foot by not getting this ready ASAP and actually making that Summer 2021 release date.
