Xbox Is Getting An Update To Fix Crashes In Battlefield 2042

Has Battlefield 2042 been crashing your Xbox Series X (or Series S)? You're not alone. We've seen countless reports about this over the past few days since the arrival of the EA Play trial, and a fix is officially on the way.

Taking to the EA forums over the weekend, the DICE team confirmed that it's aware of these problems on Xbox Series X specifically, and it's "caused by a system issue which is also impacting FIFA, Madden, and NBA2k players."

"We are aware of some Battlefield 2042 players on Xbox Series X experiencing a full console shutdown crash during gameplay. Based on our active investigation with Microsoft, this crashing is caused by a system issue which is also impacting FIFA, Madden, and NBA2k players."

The update targeting this issue is reportedly already available to Xbox Insiders, and is set to release publicly for all Xbox users starting November 17th as an optional update, and November 23rd as a mandatory update.

Hopefully this will mark the end of Battlefield 2042's crashing issues on Xbox Series X, along with all those other aforementioned titles. Riders Republic has been having similar problems as well - maybe that'll be added to the bunch!
