Some Unlikely Games Have Entered The 'Top Paid' Xbox Charts In Recent Weeks

There was a time when we used to scan the "Top Paid" Xbox charts all the time for an idea of how certain games were selling on the platform, but unfortunately they're not as good as they used to be - they only seem to get updated on rare occasions now, and there aren't specific charts for each region anymore (they're all rolled into one instead).

Nevertheless, there are still some interesting results we can pull out of them, and particularly at the moment where we're seeing some unlikely games finding their way into the top 100 paid games on the Xbox Store as things stand.

Firstly, let's start with the top ten:

  1. Crimson Desert
  2. MLB The Show 26
  3. Crimson Desert Deluxe Edition
  4. Minecraft
  5. Resident Evil Triple Pack
  6. Space Invaders: IG
  7. ARC Raiders
  8. Forza Horizon 5
  9. Resident Evil Requiem
  10. EA Sports FC 26

There are a few unlikely ones here, but nothing too crazy - aside from the Xbox 360 game Space Invaders: IG. The reason it's charting so highly is because it's free to claim for Xbox Game Pass users (for whatever reason), which has culminated in a lot of so-called purchases!

Going down the list a bit further, Phasmophobia continues to retain its spot in the charts at #13, which is partly due to its free trial that we believe also counts as a purchase in the eyes of this chart. Go down even more, and the Xbox Game Pass title Roadside Research is in 25th place, Who's Your Daddy?! is in 26th place, the new release of ICARUS: Console Edition is in 34th place, and then multiple Poppy Playtime games are hovering around the top 50.

The latter half of the top 100 is even more interesting. Thanks to some recent sales, the likes of Castle Crashers Remastered, Slime Rancher 2 and even Gravel Special Edition are ranking highly, as is the 2022 dinosaur adventure game Path of Titans, which we don't believe has gone on sale recently, but is nevertheless in 65th place.

Metal Slug 3 is in 76th position — that one did get a recent discount — the new release of Car Dealer Simulator is in 78th (we'll have some impressions on that one soon!), Midnight Club: Los Angeles is down at #80, and Grand Theft Auto IV is still managing to make the top 100 as a result of its current reduction.

Of course, we're expecting all of this to change very shortly with the arrival of the full Xbox Spring Sale 2026, but the fact remains that these titles have performed very nicely indeed on the Xbox Store over the past few weeks.
