GM of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg has been responding to fans' questions about Xbox Series X recently on Twitter, including the status of highly-anticipated Xbox Series X launch title Halo Infinite. Earlier this week, Microsoft revealed the game is still targeting a 2020 release.
Elaborating more, Greenberg mentioned that he's meeting with the Halo team every week, suggesting that it's 'cooking up some fire'. However, he also stressed the desire for patience from fans given the tough circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
We already know that Microsoft won't be showing off Halo Infinite during its May 2020 Inside Xbox show later today, which will be focused around third-party titles. However, the company has said it will revealing more about its Xbox Game Studios games in July, so we'll likely hear more then.

Hope to see some Halo Infinite gameplay soon!
Please make the launch deadline ππΎ
I think this game will launch with SX regardless. Some extra polish will be added on Day One patch and so on.
I just want them to get it right.
