Microsoft has just issued a selection of details about what to expect from Xbox Series X plans over the next few weeks and months. As part of this, the company has confirmed that first-party Xbox Series X games won't be a part of this week's Inside Xbox event, but will be shown very soon.
Speaking via the Xbox Wire blog, CVP of Gaming Marketing Jerret West explained that games from Xbox Game Studios will be highlighted in July. He says Microsoft will be showing first looks at new gameplay, insights from development teams and game announcements.
In July, we will dedicate time to focus on the incredible games coming from Xbox Game Studios. A number of our studio teams are looking forward to sharing first looks at new gameplay, insights from development teams being optimized for Xbox Series X, and brand-new game announcements. We cannot wait to share this initial look at what some of those teams are working on.
As for the upcoming Inside Xbox on Thursday, the company also says it'll be showing 'Xbox Series X Optimized' next-gen gameplay, trailers and sneak peeks from partners across the globe, as well as confirming games that will be taking advantage of the 'Smart Delivery' feature on the system.
And that's just the start! Microsoft says it'll be showcasing events called "Xbox 20/20" every month for the rest of the year "to engage, connect and celebrate with you about what’s in store for the next generation of gaming."
What are you hoping to see from this event in July? Let us know in the comments.

Excellent, an event a month for the rest of the year! I'm getting properly excited now. It wouldn't hurt Sony if they would also share some more information, so I can make a well-educated decision rather than go straight for a series X as Microsoft is currently doing the job of getting me excited a whole lot better!
Why not June when E3 was planned?
MS Direct (first party) in July and Nintendo Direct in September? I'm okay with that schedule.
It's great that they're managing expectations and being so up front about everything. I think July is a good spot since June is going to be seemingly pretty packed with news. Good to get away from it a bit and steal the spotlight.
Awsome news, Can't wait to see it
Nice!!!!! Super excited!
Oke! Xbox got me hyped for sure this generation.
This time it will be Switch and XBox X.
Cant wait yo see what you have for us.
When M$ show us what these new games are, then we will know if M$ actually have a chance in the next gen. Sony and Nintendo have some incredible ip's. M$ are under pressure here.
