Topic: What did you play this weekend

Currently i'm playing Fable II.

Grid 2 will definitely be one of them. We'll also have Metro: Last Light, Resident Evil Revelations, and Remember Me live in relatively short order.

None of you - besides Ken - played any Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D?!! :/

I haven't bought it yet because I'm saving up for The Last of Us and expect that to take up most of my gaming time once it comes out. But DKCR was fantastic on Wii so the 3DS version is definitely on my radar. Hope it plays as well as the Wii release did.

Played it on Wii. The next 3DS titles I get will probably be the Zelda oracle games or Animal Crossing New Leaf.

The Last of Us demo just went live for those with copies of God of War: Ascension. The demo practically broke PSN with the number of people actively trying to download. After an hour of repeatedly pressing the Download button I finally got it. Who else is excited for this game?

My girlfriend and I played the Wii game went it first was released. I bought the 3DS version and she immediately decided to take my 3DS for the week and play it. I played through the first world and while I still prefer the Wii version, the game is surprisingly excellent fit for the handheld

The Last of Us is easily my most anticipated game of the year, but I'm not going to play the demo. I've avoided spoilers to this point and I'm going to keep it that way. I'm sure anything in the demo is very minor story points but I'd still rather play it safe.

Excited would be an understatement for me. I absolutely can't wait! I loved Uncharted, I love Ellen Page...I can't see what could possibly go wrong.

I will get around to it eventually some time here soon.

I had work and the SAT. So nothing.

I've been playing DKCR3D and NSMB U these past few days. Such excellent 2D platformers that I can play with my girlfriend. She'll only play 2D games anyway as she finds other genres a bit too complex.

Lets see.  Mostly played Super Metroid which I got to Mirida and boy is that place a pain in the butt first time through.  I had to take a few breaks to refreash myself before going through it.

Also played some Guardian Heroes on XBLA with my son and a bit of Tank Tank Tank on Wii U.  Followed that up with a bit of Injustice Gods Among Us.

How does she fare with DKCR? My lady had a hard time with the Wii version but I'm hoping this new mode makes things a bit more manageable for her.

Guardian Heroes, YES!! I've played through that a few times recently, and besides the frequent story breaks, it's massive fun.

@DRL:  Have you tried Code of Princess on 3DS yet?  Its made by the same guy that made Guardian Heroes and in plays just like Guardian Heroes.  In fact most people consider it a spiritual successor to Guardian Heroes.

Whoa. I did NOT know that. I've had it on my wishlist for a while now but haven't gotten around to picking it up. Looks like I may need to do so very, very soon.

Mostly Fire Emblem Awakening on my 3DS. Minor spoiler alert in case you're that intent on not having small surprises spoiled: Just when I thought I was close to beating it...I saw "2 years later" and a bunch of new levels became playable. On the contrary, lots of interesting twists in the plot are occurring that are worth having to do so much more.

I played some Minecraft as well. I downloaded my Halo 4 DLC that came out after me pre-ordering it so long ago (shame on me, I should've done it sooner), and also started Portal from the best deal ever, Valve's Orange Box which is 5 games in one. That was pretty fun after I figured it out.

@DRL:  Dont worry I am in the same boat as you.  The only way I found out was cause I was looking up stuff for Guardian Heroes and that popped up as well.  That game was on my list but like you it was at the bottom (every time I would think about getting it some other game would come out that I would want more) but now it is near the top of my list.

I've been playing state of decay and despite some technical Jank this is probably tied with ZOmbiU for being what I want in a zombie game.
