Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, How Many Of You Are Buying A Switch 2?

xMavsManx

I pre-ordered the mario kart bundle from target, so I was able to get my step daughters work discount of 10% and then another 5% off using a red card, took the total down to 444 after tax. I then sold my switch oled with a few games and controllers on Facebook marketplace for $375. Then I had an extra series s laying around that doesn't get much use, sold it to a buddy for $150? So that covers my switch 2 preorder

Re: Xbox Download Speeds May Receive A Boost As Part Of New Update

I think this is a total case by case experience. Many factors play into this, wifi/hardwired, what kind of ethernet cable using, if your on wifi 2.4 or 5ghz channel, internet speed, etc. I been on At&t fiber gigabit plan and am having absolutely no issues with speed, consistently at or above 900mbps. Also something most people don't take into consideration is the equipment they are using. Any ISP router/modem is going to be pretty much the cheapest stuff they are able to get by with. I've always used my own modems and routers and you'd be surprised the performance upgrade you recieve. Being able to control bandwidth to certain devices when you have multiple devices going at a certain time is a huge time saver when downloading the larger games we are accustomed to seeing now days.

Re: Xbox Leak Suggests Two New 'Western Digital' Expansion Cards Are On The Way

While I agree the prices are a bit steep. I did purchase a 1TB expansion card when the series X released. I also have a 4tb external I use for all my non X games. With the recent releases I'm pulling the trigger on a 2tb card. My daughter works at target so with the 10% employee discount plus another 5% red card discount brings it down to $250 after tax. And I am going to sell my 1TB card to a friend for $100. Makes the price tag a little more justified

Re: Gotham Knights Is Getting A 'Larger' Patch To Improve Performance

I personally think this game is getting a lot of unjustified criticism. It's by no means perfect but the 30fps thing is a little overblown. The only time you really notice it is when your traveling in a vehicle. If you enjoyed the previous batman games you'll enjoy this one. Had they delayed it another 6 months or a year everyone would complain about that. People were going to complain either way. Play it now its fine or I'm sure they will update it at some point to optimize it better for the series x.

Re: Philips Reveals Two New 'Designed For Xbox Series X' Monitors

While it may seem like a high price, this is pretty much in line with the competition. Yes you can buy bigger TVs with these functions for around or a little much. But as far as monitors go to make the jump to 4k and 120hz with hdmi 2.1 the cheapest monitor on the market is the gigabyte m28u for $649 if you can even find in stock which is hard. As time goes these monitors will drop in price but unfortunately $7-900 is about the going rate currently for a monitor with these specs and size.
