When Xbox acquired studios like Compulsion, they said they wanted a regular, monthly cadence of releases. They also have Game Pass. So…I’d put the existing puzzle pieces together in a way which might make Xbox seem both attractive to platform fans and balance that with other streams (e.g. PS5):
All Xbox games (except ABK) are timed exclusives for 12 months (also PC), tying into GP Ultimate
At 12 months, they release on PS, Nintendo and maybe Mac. At the same time, they go into GP Premium
Once a month, there is a top-tier game launched into GPU - ideally from an Xbox studio, but otherwise a notable third-party release.
That’d surely do a better job of making Xbox feel worthwhile as a platform, and garnering revenue from other streams to support the overall viability of the business.
Ended my membership last night. I read the news and realised I am just checked out now. I’ll buy any games I want to play on Xbox in the future. I’ve had a good time with Game Pass since I got my Series X, though - can’t fault the value it has provided up until now.

You’re welcome, Microsoft!

Worth it at double the normal price - at this price, it’s a steal!

Re: Talking Point: Which Xbox Games Have Left You Most Pleasantly Surprised?
Lies of P! It had me hooked the whole way through and I wasn’t initially sure I’d like it at all.
