Valve is concerned about their own audience sure, but Xbox isn't, this generation they have abandoned their fans and looked to everyone else with their everything is an Xbox strategy. I think for their next console plans, the Steam Machine will be their main competition since they're leaving the console space and targeting a PC hybrid console. But I have the feeling even this doesn't bother Microsoft since they're already heading into publisher-only future.
@FredBiletnikoff Well if they don't they shouldn't have raised the price of their consoles. It is just a stupid move and a nail in the coffin of their already struggling console business.
