Like a few people pointed out already I think, while I'm unsure how much more content Skyrim has than Oblivion, it's not really all that surprising not everyone has beat the game yet. I know people who've played Skyrim for like 500 hours & years after it came out never actually beat it. Not to mention that the completion rate for games is altogether pretty low as far as achievements/trophies are concerned
I feel the need to point out that most of this effort was likely mostly Virtuous, although I'm not certain of this, I'd assume so considering that studio's track record specifically for ports & remasters. I suppose credit where it's due to Bethesda but their next gen version of Fallout 4 was not so impressive, despite being a clear improvement. Idk it just feels like this reaction article could've at least mentioned Virtuous since most of the info about Oblivion Remastered says it was a joint effort.
Good lord some of these people sound so bonkers, it's kinda alarming tbh. Y'all know it's okay to have a different opinion about a gosh darn video game, right? It's not the end of the world! Some of you were perfectly fine expressing your disagreement but many of these comments are so dripping with vitriol and I don't know why?? Not everyone likes Zelda. Not everyone likes Sony games (made very clear by many users on this site). Not everyone likes PC gaming. But it's okay to like and dislike different things, guys. Go touch grass
I'll grab it eventually, way too many games I'm more interested in beating first. Completely disagree with everyone who says this was "barebones", it's honestly closer to a remake than a remaster. They used the same animation information from the og but the lighting, shadows, models, basically everything else is better. It's a noticeable leap from the originals graphical fidelity. I don't wanna take away from the people who prefer the og or anything but there's no need to blatantly lie about it being a no effort remaster, which was exactly what the xbone/ps4 remaster was. DR2 crashed all the time on my PS4 esp in the late game. Don't buy that version unless you just vehemently hate any changes to older games or if you can't easily play the 360 version.
If you want the details on DRDR go look up digital foundry's video on it. Much more insightful than some of these comments.
