I think the modern interpretation is that although you could class any collaborative/shared virtual space as a metaverse, VR defines where the true definition lies. The ‘presence’, total immersion of high end room-based VR removing the real world almost entirely, replacing it wholesale with the ‘metaverse’. That word gives me the creeps. Gives the feeling of dystopian control by large corporations trying to grab these spaces & place them under their jurisdiction.

@Widey85 Thank you! I felt exactly the same. The humans walking around were terribly rendered as well - odd faces. Lots of artefacting around the edges or people when rotating the camera. The only thing that really impressed me was the reflections & draw distance. If I have to take a frame rate cut to 30fps for these graphics, please please include a 60fps performance mode in all games! 60+ FPS is by far and away the most important graphical upgrade at the moment for me.
