We've been treated to our first look at a full match from the upcoming AEW Fight Forever game (coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S), and to be totally honest, it looks far better than we initially expected it to be!
The video above shows a full 1v1 match between Adam Cole and Kenny Omega, featuring smooth animations, bite-sized entrances, pick-up-and-play controls and some really cool additions such as the ability to kick out of a pin at 2.99, and even the crowd chanting "holy s***" when the match gets really good!
There's still no release date for AEW Fight Forever yet, but it was announced earlier this week on an episode of AEW Dark that the game is scheduled to release this fall, so we should only have a few months left to wait.

Aubrey isn't doing her weird stances or pantomime faces though.
Good to see Kenny (Olivier, one for the Corny fans) in this footage, I like him, not so keen on the incredible shrinking man Cole though.
The only thing i saw that i would change, is there was no reversal system shown (assuming there is though) and also the instant replay needs to slow down some and the impact of the signature and special moves needs to be stronger and more brutal... Other than that, this is the perfect wrestling game reminiscent of No Mercy.
@OliverOwen exactly what I was thinking, this reminds me so much of No Mercy which was an amazing title.

There's some stuff to really look at that show some flow breaking but for a first go/re establish of the engine and style it's looking solid.
Hell Cody Rhodes literally said it would be like No Mercy.
This has me very very interested, as said by @OliverOwen this really does have a No Mercy feel and if they can make those powerful moves feel more impactful and get the flow abit more tweaked then this is going to be a great game. This is definitely a day 1 for me now.
@JetmanUK I don’t mind Kenny but he is a bit weird, his promo after dynamite last week was bizarre. Listening to Corny listen to it was gold 🤣

Corny's hate for 'Harpo' is hilarious! I listen to all Cornette's content, and although I don't agree with some of it, it's always entertaining.
@JetmanUK same man I listen to his Dynamite review every week. A lot of what he says makes sense to me.
@Fenbops Absolutely, he would offer a large improvement if he was a booker or any other involvement in the creative in AEW. Of course, that would never happen. 🤣
Watching the video the game reminds me of the Day of Reckoning games on the GameCube.
