@OldGamer999 from what I briefly saw this morning from a couple of sites is that it's an online only campaign where it's co-op. I haven't had time to dabble in it because just reading that kind of turned me off but I'll probably check it out later on tonight.
@GuyinPA75 I mean you can still play games offline tho so it's no issue. It's the online play that's going dark which honestly? Last Gen definitely should go dark if there is a current gen available (PUBG) not a huge loss.
Only one that grabs my attention is Black Ops 7. But the good thing about it being a GP game is that I don't have to worry about wasting my money on it if the game sucks.
I mean I'd buy one in a heartbeat because why wouldn't I?? I hate those third party controllers because I prefer everything to stay in the same family (like iPhone folks have Apple watches and air pods and Samsung folks tend to be the same). It just makes sense especially if it works like a premium product and at a good price.
Idk I started to like last year's campaign but the zombies killed it for me and I've just been playing multiplayer. If it's zombies again in campaign.... I'll sit this out. Thankfully it's free so no money losing here. I just wish that they continue the storyline from MW3 or come out with a new one set within the last....10 or 20 years.
2k is still supporting last Gen?? Sheesh 🙄 I'll check out 2K tho if it comes on a free play weekend or buy it and return it if the controls aren't better than last year. 2k24's controls and shooting felt better for me than '25.
@themightyant same here, I've played more games with GP then actually buying them outright. Farm Sim 25 and Police Sim is one of the few they I'll buy because GP allowed me to actually play and test it out. GP is an amazing subscription service because you get to try games and see if it's worth it.
I think honestly the best path that Microsoft should head towards is discontinuing the Series S because that console is such a drag on resources for this generation. When you compare the PS5 to the Series X they're pretty much similar and it makes it easy for developers to develop games for both platforms. But when you have the series S which is such an lower tiered game console it makes it slightly more difficult for developers to make games for that version. I'm only saying that because the specs are lowered whereas the series X is more powerful. What Microsoft can do is discontinue to Series S and to keep cost low for entry level gamers have the discless version of the series X become the new entry point because you can slim down a lot of stuff in her since there's no disk drive and then have the series X become the middle option and then if you want a premium feel you can even come out with a Series X Pro. That way all of your game consoles will have the same exact power and specifications.
I mean I like it and all but what really turned me off was the fact that there wasn't really any upgrades from 2020 moving into the sequel basically. Yes the addition of having a career mode is a huge upgrade in its own self however, the fact that it's the same imagery that we're seeing in areas there was no upgrade there. I would expect the game that uses basically satellite imagery from Bing/Microsoft what actually have updated satellite imagery instead of having imagery from at this point is 5-6 years old. And I'm only saying 5-6 years old because 2020 imagery was also outdated depending on where you live at. Gameplay wise I'll play it if there's nothing else that I want to play but it's nothing that I'm going to jump for joy about until some major upgrades happen in a course once the store is open.
The only way that this actually works is if they only cater to the series X and their future console. They need to go ahead and stop supporting the Xbox One family and focus only on this current generation. If they make the same mistakes again by catering to an older generation it's going to still leave them in the dust. All you really need now is just the put out games for the Series X and whatever they decide to call the next generation Xbox. They also need to stay away from making the same mistake that they made with this generation which was creating a low-powered next-gen system. It's already been mentioned among gaming developers that catering to the series S is what's holding it back so they need to cut out that sub brand as well. If you have to come out with two different gaming systems give it the same exact specs as your pro version but just remove the disc drive and give it a lower hard drive and you should be good to go.
@CutchuSlow I mean majority of the big games are cross play between Xbox and PlayStation such as 2k, Madden, COD, fortnight etc. Mainly because they have a huge base. I was about to switch to PlayStation before COD went cross play and the same with 2k so thankfully more games are supporting it

Crazy for 2k24' multiplayer going offline it's only 2ish but yeah in the sports world ..that's old.

Re: Lots Of Games Are Their 'Lowest Price Ever' On Xbox This Weekend (September 20-21)
Eh this is a pretty poor sale. Although the Activision sale is where it's at, some very good game!

Re: Battlefield 6 Dev Gives Reasoning Behind No Ray Tracing On Any Version, Including Xbox Series X
@Coletrain I mean in all fairness consoles CAN handle RT. Especially PS5 and Series X. They only need to focus on this gen and gaming PCs imo.

Re: Flight Simulator 2024's Latest Xbox Update Is Now Live, Here Are The Patch Notes
Personally, I just wish that they have updated maps. There is no reason why an area should still be using satellite data from 2020 when it's 2024.
