I dunno, I like that there will be that traditional Xbox interface for those of us who just want that experience, but then you're paying that premium for functionality that you'd never use.
This is my own little bubble but very few people I know even have PCs at home, and those that do only use it for Office, so a PC-like Xbox, which comes with the relative pains of PC gaming and costs a small fortune for that ability, wouldn't make much sense. I wanna say they should release a cheaper SKU aimed at the more general audience, but that hasn't been working so well for them and it's clear that something needs to change. Not sure this change is gonna get them out of the hole they're in.
So I read the headline and said, "eh sure I'll try it out," but man really? 1 hour at a time, 5 per month maximum? I fail to see the point; it sure isn't buttering me up to pay for the real deal.
I'm sure I read something a while ago saying Microsoft is gonna release like an actual Xbox handheld manufactured by themselves in a few years time, with this thing as something as a stop gap to gauge interest or something. That's the thing I'd be interested in.
