The very first Tomb Raider is an atmospheric exploration gem. The grid based tank controls weren’t that bad either.
I just replayed Rise and nearly 100%’d it. But that game kinda sucks. It’s super linear and has none of the puzzles/loneliness/organic discovery of the first game.
I had to drop Spiritfarer. I usually finish games I start, but the overlong dialogue, tedious chores, linear islands and general lack of gameplay made it hard to have any fun. The animation is nice though.
Compulsively need to finish all trophies in Arkham City and get my $2.50 worth.
One thing I hate about digital games is that you can't really get rid of them. You can uninstall and hide them but they're still there taking up some space in your world.
I’m done with Xbox entirely if they ban my controller for offline use.
Between this, the insane local storage capture policy, and horrible new UI, I’m realizing I’m not their target market. Quick resume is nice but the overall experience is getting worse.
I wonder if they were waiting for the activision deal to close before doing this.
Was living with crappy roommates and no AC and working a job I hated. I had a tiny 720p TV that I put on my only piece of furniture and hooked up the Xbox. Every day after work I sat on the floor with a beer and my controller and was in sci-fi bliss.

Re: Stalker Trilogy Surfaces For Console Ahead Of Xbox Partner Preview
Hell yes. These have always been at the top of my list but I’ve never had a Windows PC.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 24-25)
Did another full run through of Wildlands - so good, but I’d recommend skipping the DLC missions.
Replayed Ori and the Blind Forest. The second game is so much better in terms of design, pacing and CLARITY of visuals.
Replayed The Swapper - the puzzle game that did Soma before Soma.

Finished FC Primal Survivor/Expert. Intense and fun.

Re: Rumour: Major Xbox Series X|S Controller Revision Still To Be Revealed This Year
Anyone who understands gyro knows how sad it is that Xbox doesn’t support it natively.
Re: Talking Point: What Was The Greatest Xbox 360 Game Of All Time?
Pretty sure Skyrim is the best game on the 360, Xbox One and Series X. Fallout 3 is close.
Re: Poll: Four Months Later, Are You Still Playing Starfield?
210 hours first playthrough - loved it. Haven't touched any of the faction questlines - looking forward to those on my next characters.
Re: Poll: How Many Xbox Games Have You Actually Bought In 2023?
Bought Starfield, Skyrim, Fallout 4, Wildlands, Far Cry Primal, Far Cry 4, Division, Mad Max. All digital. Subscribed to GP for 3 months only.
Re: Roundup: Here Are All The Xbox Reveals From The Game Awards 2023
Last Sentinel looks interesting.
Nice to see Moon (Ori) and Finji (Tunic) with new projects.
It’d be cool if JP Survival was an actual survival game but it presents as a scripted linear story game.
Re: Todd Howard Reflects On Morrowind's 'Huge Success' On Xbox, Admits It Kept Bethesda Going
Thank you to BGS and Todd. You guys make the best games of all time (imo).
Re: Ubisoft's Open World FPS 'Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora' Has Officially Gone Gold
@SAHgamer what are your favorite sci-fi FPSs?
Re: Starfield Fails To Make Shortlist For 'Game Of The Year' At The Game Awards 2023
Starfield is a beautiful game that has wonderful role play freedom. The internet is trying so hard to hate it.
I don’t care about the GOTY or this bait-y article title but I hope BGS isn’t discouraged from making the types of games they do.
Re: Poll: Which Has Been The Best Generation Of Xbox So Far?
Skyrim. Far Cry 3. Fallout 3/NV. Mass Effect. Just Cause 2. Plus Shadow Complex - I mean c’mon.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 11-12)
Replaying Far Cry 4. So fun - but damn I wish this game got the 4K treatment. Dynamic 900p is rough.
Re: New Xbox Policy To Block Unauthorised Accessories
@ZuneTattooGuy It works surprisingly flawlessly.
It’s one thing to not have gyro in official controllers (which Switch, PS5 and SteamDeck do have natively) but to ban it for offline use is offensive.
Re: New Xbox Policy To Block Unauthorised Accessories
@ZuneTattooGuy Armor-X Pro for the gyro and back buttons. Never have and never would use it online. There is no gyro 1st party controller AFAIK.

Re: Talking Point: Have You Ever Bought An Xbox For One Specific Game?
Xbox 360 for Mass Effect 1.
Was living with crappy roommates and no AC and working a job I hated. I had a tiny 720p TV that I put on my only piece of furniture and hooked up the Xbox. Every day after work I sat on the floor with a beer and my controller and was in sci-fi bliss.
Re: Talking Point: Should Xbox Make A Revised Controller With Haptic Feedback?
They need gyro for FPS aiming
