The mofo literally went up in court and aired his grievances in public in a spectacular way. I wouldn't be shocked if that helped put eyes on Microsoft porting their games to other platforms when you have big industry names speaking out about their disatisfaction at Microsoft.

I fully believe Starfield and Jones will launch on PS5. Pete Hines wasn't happy that their games were being kept from a massive consumer base and it did nothing to move sales for the brand.

It's a matter of when at this point.

What leverage are you talking about here?

Call of Duty is the only thing that Sony truly wants and Microsoft are contractually obligated to put that on PS5 for a decade.

Sony and Nintendo have far more leverage in the games industry in Xbox and don't need to port their games to Xbox just to get them to sell.

So is there ever going to be any update on Perfect Dark or are they just going to keep announcing stuff and then never release it?

Sony own the IP but Microsoft own the publishing rights.

The game is only on Xbox because Insomniac wanted to keep the IP and only Microsoft allowed that.

This is just so cringeworthy. The complete blind adoration for a suit just blows my mind.

It 100% depends on the game for me. I can put like 300 hours into JRPGs but 8 hour cinematic snoozefests like The Order 1886 or the original Hellblade feel like slogs to me.

So it's The Order 1886 of Xbox.

Can't stand overly cinematic tripe so not getting this one, hated the first game.

Only Hi Fi Rush appeals to me out of the lot of those.

Couldn't care less, only liked Spyro: Reignited from them and I have no plans to replay it when Mario exists.

Only game I want this month is Stellar Blade. 2024 in general is shaping up to be a very weak year I'd say.

All I want Phil is Rare Replay on Steam and Switch. Currently replaying some Banjo - Kazooie and Viva Pinata (both stellar games) but having them natively on the go would be amazing.

Also, wouldn't care either way as I own all 3 consoles and a Steam Deck, I don't really lose a whole lot other than my Xbox games (that are already very low compared to Switch, PS5 and Steam). Thankfully I could still play the old games on my original Xbox and 360 anyway.

Problem is that Nintendo own IPs that have an insane install rate compared to the other two so people will buy their consoles just for those IPs alone.

The only way Microsoft can pull a turnaround that large is to make Call of Duty exclusive but there's absolutely no chance of that.

Their anti-consumer moves as of late really doesn't help matters.

This would be a ridiculous change and would be 100% rooted in trend chasing.

I'm not a fan of the 7 or 8 style but I can see why they'd go that route.

I'll most likely pass on this, Microsoft's games are all on PC so having a Steam Deck makes this utterly redundant for me.

Considering the massive success of the Portal, MS SHOULD learn from it.

The same person who "confirmed" that Microsoft will never port their games to PS5. I'll believe it when it's actually confirmed cause Corden's words mean nothing.

Ninja Gaiden Black & 2, all the Dead or Alive games, Sonic Unleashed/Generations, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon all immediately come to mind.

Best thing Spencer has done for the industry.
