@The_New_Butler Sega said that too but never made a new console. The game pass has over 26.7 million subscribers. over 300 Million That's a lot of cash. Only time will tell. I would like to see them continue on but the hardware business is not a huge moneymaker, It's the games where the money is. Not sure if it's the same as when I was a manager for a large toy store many moons ago. They had to buy 7 games for each console the store bought. Yes, they made the retailers buy games as the consoles are not a huge profit for them.

It's been no secret that Microsoft/Xbox will be doing Nintendo cloud gaming. I heard this last year. This is why you are seeing Nintendo showing up alongside the Xbox. I think you might see an app on the Switch that will give you access to game pass games on the switch. I also heard a rumor a while back that The Xbox Series X/S might be the last Xbox. The money is in games and cloud gaming on any device makes more money than a console. Sega dropped out of the console market after the Dreamcast and is still going strong in the Gaming software business. Nintendo is not selling out to Microsoft just becoming a partner in cloud gaming.
