Re: Capcom Has Added Microtransactions To Resident Evil 4 After Release

@kaloudz and that is the crux of the argument. Thats exactly what the companies are doing. Targeting the most vulnerable. I've even seen a press conference where some executive is outlining those exact tactics to a board of investors.

@old-dad no I am implying that capcom added something to the game that we didn't want or ask for.

@Kaloudz I see now what you mean. The game is actually doing a kind of service by identifying individuals who need to seek help without doing any real harm. I guess it's a bit like that inspirational episode of Pokémon that helped people discover if they suffered from epilepsy or not using the completely harmless method of inducing an epileptic fit.

@old-dad let's hope iTunes don't replace the last album you bought with the same music but now each track also features Rihanna 'after' your purchase.
@srefan771 the microtransactions do affect the gameplay though. In order for someone to 100% complete the game and acquire every item instead of making that goal fun then purposely make it a grind so they can 'sell you the solution'

@Kaloudz so you think if someone who avoids microtransaction games buys and invests time into this game and is then tricked because they are added after the initial release it's their own fault and they should go see a doctor about this.
Also you said yourself microtransactions are unnecessary so if that's true why are they there?
Oh and microtransactions money does not go to the game developers. They have already been paid for their part in making the game. They are not going to receive anything extra from this.

All you people who think this is fine I'm so happy for you that you don't suffer from any compulsive disorder. You of course are not the target audience anyway. The poor unfortunates I just mentioned are and no they're not all whales with more money than sense, some of them are spending the last of their food money to feed their compulsive disorder just to stave off feeling hopelessly depressed just for a few seconds of temporary pleasure before reality sets in. Oh but as long as you're alright.... Jack, then there's absolutely nothing to complain about here whatsoever.
